We had a really wonderful family week at Casa Valhalla. The villa was very well equipped and had everything we could ever need, with spacious bedrooms and lovely en-suite bathrooms. The outside area was fantastic with a great pool, beautiful gardens and a lovely eating area & BBQ which we took full advantage of. We were met by Miguel who was very helpful and showed us around and made sure we knew everything we needed to know. Lisa was very helpful the whole way through the booking process and the welcome gifts on arrival were a lovely touch. We hope to return again next year.

Three generation family holiday

We had a fabulous time at Casa Valhalla with 3 generations of our family. It was the perfect villa for everybody in a lovely setting. The sitting and eating areas were wonderful in the garden and the pool was great. The owners and property manager were so helpful. We can’t wait to stay again!

Absolutely stunning villa, everything about this villa is amazing, it was spotlessly clean, the garden is lovely, the quality of fixtures and fittings are second to none, I've never seen such a well equipped kitchen, it had everything you could ever need.From the moment we booked, contact with Lisa was amazing, we were met by Miguel during check-in who showed us around everything, lovely lounge, massive dinning table, huge kitchen, 5 great bedrooms, large upper floor patio, brilliant pool, lovely garden with massive table, BBQ, there isn't one thing I could think of that it was missing or any suggestions to make it better.Best villa I have ever stayed, thank you for renting such an amazing place, I really hope to return.

A little gem in the heart of Carvoeiro

A beautiful villa …like home from home! Everything we could have needed for a totally relaxing stay ……there were only four of us so more than ample space…..beautiful maintained garden pool and hot tub what more could you want! Ideal for a family holiday

Superb villa in a great location. As a family ranging from grandparents through to not quite two, this villa had everything we needed. All ensuite bedrooms, toddler secure outdoor area, lovely pool and garden, including toddler climbing frame, plenty of seating areas to get some space - and beer on tap. What's not to like. Both owners and manger (Miguel) very easy to deal with. Highly recommended!

Wonderful place!

We spent only 2 nights here because they were fully booked. Everything was clean and in order. There were 8 of us who stayed here. The pool was a special treat for the kids. We were only a few minutes drive to the coast. Lisa was very responsive and Miguel met us there at check in to go over everything with us. Our only complaint was that we couldn’t stay longer. 😊

Amazing Villa

So enjoyed our week in Casa Valhalla. The villa itself is superb with everything you need to a perfect stay, the sitting and eating areas fitted us especially the mix of shaded areas and sunny patios that kept everyone happy. the maintenance guy, Miguel, is great and helped us with a couple of minor things plus he maintains the pool so well that one of our party, who is particularly sensitive to chlorine, could use the pool everyday with effect which is a huge plus over other villas we have been to. Lisa & David (the owners) were always helpful and ensured the booking process and stay went without a hitch. Many thanks for a wonderful holiday :-)

What a fantastic Villa, made super welcome on arrival with a written personal greeting, lovely touch leaving wine and chocolate for my birthday. The rooms and decor are superb, huge kitchen area, and a fabulous dining/lounge. The pool is fab, really missing it, plenty sunbeds, the Table Tennis was fun, and the gardens are beautiful and well cared for, impressed with the pop up sprinkler system,( ex greenkeeper). Miguel is really nice chap and very helpful, sorry didn't get to say Adiós, David and Lisa have always been there for any queries. We had a great holiday, thoroughly recommend.

Casa Valhalla

Have stayed in Casa Valhalla before and it’s still amazing. The property has everything you need for your stay including beer pump and hot tub. The outside area is very well maintained and is good for entertaining day and night. All rooms are spacious and all en-suite. The owner and property manager (Miguel) are on hand if anything needs answering or beer needs changing. The whole stay is seamless from. Start to finish. I would recommended this property to anyone and I hope to stay again in the future with out a doubt xx

Three generation family vacation

This was a great villa for our family vacation with two upstairs bedrooms and three downstairs all with bathrooms. The kitchen bar area is very spacious and well equipped to deal with our family of ten. We didn't use the lounge/ dinning room as we spent most of our time around the pool, outside dining area. The gardens a beautiful and well kept with a dedicated play area for younger children. As described, walking to and from town center takes about 20 minutes but you do need to be fit especially for the return walk. Taxis and Uber are numerous and cheap. Overall an excellent villa for a family vacation with great support from the owners and manager.

Wonderful experience at the Villa Valhalla.

There was availability at the Villa Valhalla for our date . E.mail correspondence with Lisa & David the owners was easy . With 5 bedrooms there was plenty of room for the 8 of us. Very nice pool and garden. You can walk into Carvoeiro where there is plenty of bars and restaurants it takes 20 minutes to walk and it's all down hill. I would recommend a taxi though to go back and they are plentiful and cheap. An 8 seater was 6 euro's. There is lots of holiday information at the villa to decide what you would like to do. Our thanks to Lisa & David.

Amazing villa - highly recommended

This villa has everything you could need and want. It is extremely spacious and well equipped and we could not fault it. The kitchen is enormous and has absolutely every utensil you could need - and more! The rooms are spacious and the beds comfy. All rooms have air con and en suite bathrooms. The pool is fabulous with lots of sunbeds, lots of space around the pool and a beautiful garden - great for families. We had a very slight issue and the minute we reported it to Miguel, he came to sort it out - very attentive and professional. David and Lisa were great hosts - they made sure we had all the information needed up front and kept checking if we were ok. The only I could find to maybe improve slightly is that it is not that easy - once you DO find it, it is a hidden gem. I would not hesitate to highly recommend this property.

Casa Valhalla

We had a fabulous holiday and loved Casa Valhalla from the moment we stepped through the doors! The house is beautiful and has everything you could possibly need including very comfortable beds! Thank you for the welcome pack which was enjoyed by some hungry travellers. It is hard to do Casa Valhalla justice in a few lines. We loved the Villa but equally loved the garden, the pool area and the outdoor dining area where we enjoyed several BBQs whilst there. The children enjoyed the table tennis and the youngest in the group enjoyed the play area in the garden too. We really enjoyed having the use of the hot tub also. It was great to have the use of the bikes although we didn’t use them as much as we thought we would. It’s easier to walk up the hills than cycle up them!! The walk to/from the town in the heat was a bit much for my elderly mum (although she did walk down a couple of times) and might be a bit tough for very little legs but all the rest of us enjoyed the walk. We had cars but there was no problem getting taxis if we didn’t fancy driving or the short walk home. We were two families ranging in age from 6-83 and Casa Valhalla worked perfectly for us. Thank you Lisa, David, Miguel and team for a truly memorable holiday.

Family week away

Really nice villa in quiet area of Carvoeiro yet with easy access to the beach and centre. Lovely pool and Jacuzzi, very sunny and spacious gardens and outdoor space. Good layout inside for our group, with a nice large kitchen. Excellent communications and service before, during and after our stay. Restaurants a plenty, including at least three within a 10 minute walk. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend for a family group like ours.

An excellent choice.

We found Casa Valhalla to be a clean, comfortable and very well equipped holiday Villa with a beautiful garden and a good size pool, both of which were well maintained. We took advantage of the beer on tap and the pool heating and were very pleased with both. The Villa is within walking distance of several restaurants (approx. 20 mins) and Carvoeiro town. For a three generation family holiday it suited our needs extremely well.

After moving to the Algarve from the UK in 1999, we decided to design a villa that would tick everyone’s box for a perfect holiday. After 5 years of careful planning, we approved the plans and design and started building the ideal Holiday Rental Villa. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, safe and plenty of cupboard space. The kitchen is huge with 2 sets of plates and cutlery, ideal for extended families to enjoy the interaction of preparing a family BBQ/meal. We moved the outside seating area nearer to the kitchen for ease. It also has a bar with fully pumped draft beer, if required. The living room is open plan next to the kitchen, with everything for entertainment. WIFI, Flat-screen TV, with international channels.
We also have a large hand-built wooden table that can seat 12 comfortably. The patio door opens to the gated terrace overlooking the pool, which has sofas where you can sit and enjoy the sunset drinks or watch the children play in the pool. Gates stop little children from entering the garden and pool.
In the garden, we have a full-size table tennis table, a large 8 x 4-meter heated pool (optional), A large patio with 12 deck beds and a shaded area. We have installed an outside eating area near the pool and kitchen.
There is a large grassed area for playing ball games and a beautifully manicured mature garden. We have also installed a large climbing frame and slide from Little Tykes in the garden.
Our philosophy is for you, the guest, to enjoy your holiday and have a wonderful, memorable time without hassle or stress. Thus allowing you to make those precious memories.

Why they chose this property

We chose this villa, Casa Valhalla, due to its location and views. We looked along the Algarve and found that Carvoeiro offered the most for family values. Having many bars and restaurants close to the villa, but the tranquil location made this idea. The villa was used by a local builder as a show villa to promote his building services, where he ended up building over 100 villas in and around Carvoeiro.

What makes this property unique

We want you to enjoy the location and relaxation. There are plenty of taxis in the square in Carvoeiro, so if you want to stroll into the village, enjoy the fun in the square with live music and entertainment, and get a taxi home, it's a great end to the evening.
