Hus op de Deel – Holiday near the dike, a bright semi-detached house for two in Nordstrand. Hello from the North Sea coast! Swap the noise of the city for the call of seagulls and the honking of geese. Just a stone’s throw from the Nordstrand dike, the semi-detached house Hus op de Deel welcomes you. It’s in a wonderfully quiet location on a street with no through traffic, yet surrounded by plenty of greenery—and certainly not isolated: in just a few hundred metres, you’ll reach Nordstrand’s spa centre with its swimming pool and dining options. Hus op de Deel is perfect for couples or two friends who prefer a simple yet comfortable stay. To ensure you sleep soundly, the bedroom features a double bed with an adjustable slatted frame and a neck-support pillow. And if you ever feel like getting up in the middle of the night, there’s another room across the hall with a single bed. The approximately 65 square metres are all on one level and quite well laid out. Since the kitchen and the living and dining areas share the same space, the room feels very spacious and bright. A dishwasher, refrigerator, stove, coffee maker, microwave, and other appliances are included for self-catering. The bathroom, which gets natural light, was recently renovated and features a walk-in shower. After a day at the beach or out on a bike ride, however, one thing in particular beckons: the cosy sofa. Then it’s time to put your feet up, close your eyes, or open a book and simply enjoy yourself. The “Danzig Baroque”-style seating area is the perfect spot for conversations, game nights, or a delicious Pharisäer. We’re happy to provide a cot and a high chair. Wi-Fi and final cleaning are included. Speaking of “Pharisäer”: You can also enjoy Nordstrand’s national drink on the sun terrace—the ultimate place for our guests to relax. Grill up a hearty meal on the brick fireplace, lean back in your lounge chair, and breathe in the salty North Sea air. A small, enclosed addition to the house offers space for your bicycles, and if you’re arriving in separate vehicles, two parking spaces are available on the property.

Nordstrand usually presents its tranquil side—unless you happen to pass one of the many flocks of sheep. Then you’re sure to receive a loud welcome. The dike is within walking distance, making it perfect for a morning jog or an evening stroll in the sunset. Bike tours across the peninsula are also popular. However, you should expect a fair amount of headwind here. E-bikes are available for rent at the seasonal bike rental shop (about three km away). From the harbour, boats and ferries take you to the most beautiful North Sea islands: Pellworm, Amrum, or Sylt. If you prefer land excursions to mudflat hikes, you can quickly reach some of the most popular coastal towns: Husum and Flensburg, for example, with their museums and shopping opportunities; the Dutch-style town of Friedrichstadt with its canals and gabled houses; the Multimar Marine Aquarium and the historic harbour in Tönning; Gottorf Castle and the Haitabu Viking Museum in Schleswig; the stork village of Bergenhusen; or the Nolde Museum in Seebüll. As you can see, there’s plenty to discover in our beautiful region.
