We fell in love with Puglia in 2005 for its fabulous food and perfect weather and the lovely old fortified masseria amidst the ancient olive trees and vineyards around Fasano. So when we heard that the mayor’s summer residence in the Selva hills above Fasano was coming on the market, we jumped in and bought it on the spot – and then spent five challenging years renovating it to the highest luxury standard for our own use. Recently, we have decided to make it available for others to enjoy as we do.
Why Maura Watson chose Fasano
The most compelling reason for buying this property was the location. It is perched right on the edge of the hillside overlooking olive groves and has the most breathtaking panoramic sea view that you could never tire of. It is also very central and close to the hill towns - Alberobello, Martina Franca, Locorotondo - so there is always lots to do and see and a great choice of restaurants serving excellent food.
What makes this Villa unique
We wanted to create a beautiful holiday home to match the spectacular location. The sheer space and luxury throughout which includes full air conditioning, wi-fi, marble bathroom large heated swimming pool overlooking the sea, luxury linen, multiple outside entertainment and dining areas overlooking the pool and romantic gardens, makes it the perfect place to relax and unwind.
