About this property

Catskills Mountain Cabin, a rustic oasis open year round and pet-friendly

The cabin is back and open for business. I took the year off upgrading a few things; new bathroom, updated septic system and a few little things to make your stay even better. This quaint secluded cabin is nestled in the Catskill mountains overlooking the East Branch of the Delaware river, and offers you privacy, comfort and seclusion. In the winter head to Belleayre Mountain Ski Center, Elk Mountain, Plattekill Mountain and Bearpen Mountain, all within a 45-minute drive. Also an ideal location for fishing, kayaking and hiking and close to Roscoe, Trout Town and Beaverkill River. If you love baseball, Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame Museum is a must see place to visit. Sit outside on the front porch and enjoy the mountain view above the little pond or build a nice fire in the fire pit and look out on the river as you roast marshmallows under the moonlight. In the winter, snuggle up in front of the wood burning stove and have some fun playing games or watching movies. The cabin sleeps 3 comfortably (6 if you double up) and comes with 2 bedrooms/1 bathroom, plus a futon couch that makes into a queen size bed. Amenities include Wi-Fi, TV with Roku/Netflix, DVDs, indoor games, 1930s cooking stove/oven, and lots of hiking.

Amazing long weekend at the cabin with the kids !
My son just turned 8 and instead of a party he wanted to go somewhere in woods. Since we live in NJ and his birthday is in February we had to get creative. This cabin was the perfect fit ! Very cozy with two bedrooms. Perfect for my husband and I and our two sons ages 6 and 8. The host was very accomodating and checking in and out was smooth and easy. We had a movie night with the huge selection of DVDs available and the wood burning stove made it extra warm and fun. It had just snowed before we arrived and the boys loved throwing on their winter gear and going exploring around the property. I highly recommend this welcoming cozy cabin ! Perfect for a couple or small family. Perfect place to unplug, relax, and recharge ❤️ we will definitely visit again and are so thankful for the memories we made there ❤️

Charming Old Cabin
Unfortunately, the toilet bowl leaked onto the floor during our stay. I was unaware that the water from the faucet/shower smelled like rotten eggs. Otherwise, clean and we enjoyed our time in the surrounding hiking trails. Thank you!

In life I am a digital court reporter/transcriptionist. I first set eyes on this cabin in 2010 and fell in love with it at that very moment. In 2019 I was able to purchase the cabin and now its a dream place to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet. This is a true rustic cabin; clean, functional and ready for you!

Why they chose this property

The area is quaint, secluded, with the river right below where you can hang out, swim, picnic, fish, kayak - whatever you desire. I have always wanted a cabin in the mountains and am very proud and happy I finally got one! It has an old cabin feel to it, with a lot of charm and comfort. A perfect fit!

What makes this property unique

Although I have amenities that are modern at the cabin, it is a little bit like going back in time. With barn wood on one side and two bedrooms on the opposite end, it is very unique and special. My first purchase was an old 1930s stove and oven that is the centerpiece of the kitchen. I love that it is exactly what it is...a very rustic cabin. With a spring fed pond just outside, it is the perfect spot on the mountainside.

Take a 30-minute drive to Roscoe. There you will find Roscoe Beer Company, the Do Good Spirits Distillery, Buck Brook Alpacas Farm and Roscoe O&W Railway Museum, just to name a few things to do.

About an hour away you'll find Cooperstown, home of the Baseball Hall of Fame Museum, a must-see for any baseball fan. In warmer months, visit The Milford Track, a spectacular 12-mile round trip pedal ride on the railroad tracks. The ride journeys through the farm lands and forests alongside of the Susquehanna River.

Margaretville is a short drive away, as well. There you will find antiques, quaint little stores, and a lovely spot to spend the day walking around.

AND IF YOU LOVE SNOW SKIING, it is only a 45-minute drive to Belleayre Mountain Ski Center, as well as Elk Mountain, Plattekill Mountain and Bearpen Mountain, which are all within the same driving distance.
