About David Findlay
Originally from Yorkshire, I bought Jasmine House as a holiday home so as to be able to return for relaxing breaks from London. As these breaks are too infrequent, I decided to open up Jasmine House for the enjoyment of others needing a holiday in picturesque Sandsend.
Why David Findlay chose Lythe
Jasmine house is about 50 metres from the Sandsend Beach and is centrally placed in the village. The house is traditionally yet comfortably furnished to fit in with its character. The kitchen is excellently equipped for home cooking, as well as having a dishwasher and washing machine. The sitting room is a welcoming family space, fully equipped with TV and DVD, Bose speakers for iPad etc and a cupboard full of games and jigsaws. One of the few houses in the immediate vicinity with a garden, Jasmine House has a front terrace that, weather permitting, is a morning sun trap sheltered from the wind, and an upper terrace with views over the sea.
What makes this House unique
Jasmine House is in a peaceful setting away from the road with a double level garden giving spectacular views from the upper garden over Sandsend bay and onto Whitby and its dramatic ruined Abbey. While being equipped with modern amenities, Jasmine House retains its Georgian style, comfort and character. A great base for exploring the coastline and North Yorkshire Moors, Jasmine House is a very welcoming home to return to and has many repeat visitors.
