This riverside apartment is located in a quiet modern development in the Heart of the City, just a stonesthrow from the Castle Museum and Cliffords Tower. Furnished and equipped to a high standard this is a perfect location to enjoy this magnificently historic city on foot any time throughout the year. Ideally positioned at the confluence of the Rivers Foss and Ouse, this second floor apartment is not overlooked by any other properties so guests can enjoy complete privacy, peace and relaxation during their stay. The lounge features inward opening French windows offering an uninterrupted view of the river Foss and City beyond. An ideal setting for guests to read a good book or enjoy a glass of wine whilst listening to the peaceful sound of cascading water from the nearby wier, or to simply sit, relax and watch the sun go down over the city. Overlooking the 18th century Foss Navigation Corporations' Locks and within the sound of its water overflows this is a soothingly peaceful setting. From ancient times the Chinese have long since believed that it is good 'Fung Sui' to dwell by running water. The apartment features a fully fitted and equipped kitchen, bathroom/shower W/C & Breakfast Bar dining. Gas central heating for the cooler months and a colonial style ceiling fan to keep the air cool in the summer months. A well lit, permit parking space for one car adjacent to the apartment is included. Relaunched to the market after redecoration/refurnishing, the apartment has been listed with popular catalogue based Holiday Letting agency for over 15 years with many of our guests returning on a regular basis. An excellent self-contained flat on the second floor. We've stayed many times now. We like the closeness to the centre, just along the road or river (or a bus, the stop is just on the main road) and also in a very peaceful place to watch the wildlife. The flat has all we need as a 'home from home', with tv, dvd, radio, wifi, cooker, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge etc. In addition it has a car parking space, which we need as we come by car. Although this time we travelled on foot or by bus most of the time. There are several restaurants, pubs and takeaways nearby and a Co-op supermarket. We usually stay 2 weeks, but extended it to 3 weeks this time. Will look forward to a return next March.

Clean, comfortable and convenient- which is what we primarily look for in a short term rental. The home is kept really clean. The bed was super comfortable, with dark curtains for sleeping. The location is so nice, walkable to everything in York. The parking spot is really helpful and was safe. The housekeeper was helpful when we had questions or needs. The place is dated and could use a refresh, but that wouldn't keep us from staying there again.
Lovely flat overlooking the river very close to all major city attractions. Will definitely be booking again. The only thing we found was that there was no sharp knife for food preparation, and the frying pan was very small, we like to cook so struggled a little bit and had to buy a veg knife.
Great apartment in an unbeatable location with parking, making it very convenient to leave the car and walk into York centre. The accommodation was comfortable, just as described, and the apartment was sunny, quiet and with a lovely, uplifting view.
Easy to find, location was perfect overlooking river watching cormorants and kingfishers. 10 minute walk into town. Accommodation well equiped with a parking space. Will definitely stay again.
Apartment is exactly as advertised. Location is perfect, a stones throw from joining the York walls if you wish, also close to a Hop on Hop off bus stop. Car parking space was very handy too, as very expensive to park in York. Really enjoyed our stay.
The appartment was very nice and a very good place to explore the wonderful old town of York. We have all things we need for a nice week and we like this place and will come back.
Lovely view, able to get to lots of places easily from apartment. A great size for a couple and plenty of utilities. Not suitable for the disabled s no lift.

Apartment and facilities excellent. Situated in a quiet and superb location for York City. Information about accessing key and Apartment location was vague at best. But a really enjoyable stay none the less.
Our stay in York was perfect - we were able to walk to the city centre in 10-15mins. Everything was so accessible with great pubs and restaurants close by. Wayne provided us with very helpful information about the area which helped us find our way around - so thankyou!!! We were very comfortable in your perfectly positioned apartment.
Nice location for seeing York. It's a fair distance to the train station, but a nice walk. The kitchen was well supplied but bring your own sharp knife if you can. The grocery store was a bit far, so remember to pick up things on the way back from town.

We had a pleasant stay here. It is well situated for exploring York, which you can do easily by foot. There are plenty of places to eat within a 15 minute walking radius. A big bonus of this apartment is that it has its own parking place. The apartment is clean and comfortable with all the basic requirements.
If we return to visit the area, we’ll definitely see if this place is available.
