Why David Coleman chose Mousehole
Mousehole is a beautiful small coastal village which is often used in many a backdrop location on television. Trevean Cottage is set up on the cliffside overlooking this backdrop with St. Clements Island right in front with its basking seals, birdlife and the occasional dolphin or porpoise. A pair of binoculars are provided in the cottage for the guest to get a closeup of the wildlife. To the left of the cottage gardens is the impressive view of Mousehole village and harbour. There are numerous restuarants, pubs and gift shops which can be accessed via a 3 minute walk down the hill. Kayak hire and boat or fishing trips are also available from the harbour. Trevean Cottage is also conveniently situated on the South West Coastpath, on the Mousehole to Lamorna section. Many guests have walked to Lands End from the cottage, some in sections and some energetic guests have managed it in one go. A bus back is a good way of rewarding yourself after your exercise. Buses terminate in the village. Trevean Cottage has its own garden area which is truley colourful in the summer with sub tropical plants and flowers.
