Karen and Barry Butler
About Karen and Barry Butler
Karen and Barry have shared their love of France with their family for many years. it is the most beautiful country with so much to do and see. They both lead busy stressful lives working hard to provide for their 2 daughters, and now have retired and like to spend as much time as they can exploring France. They live in Essex which is nice and close to the Eurotunnel, their preferred route across to France. They have always let their holiday home to friends and family, but have now decided to let their house to anyone else wishing to share their passion. the location is perfect for a weekend break or a long relaxing break. Their own dog has visited and their are loads of places to walk your dog free and the garden and house is very pet friendly. They are happy to share any advice and tips on the route down, which is only around 7 hours. Alternatively you can fly from many UK airports. Please get in touch if you have any questions. Thank you and look forward to hearing from you
Karen and Barry Butler purchased this house in 2007
Why Karen and Barry Butler chose Benevent L Abbaye
When we visited France house hunting in 2007, we wanted somewhere close to amenities, but semi rural too so it was peaceful. We also wanted somewhere finished and all ready to enjoy as we were both working full time in stressful jobs. When we viewed the house, we both knew this as the one as it had already been renovated to a high standard and was tastefully furnished. We love the open plan downstairs as it means everyone can chat and do different things in the one large room. The house is so easy to keep clean too. The gardening is taken care off with our fantastic neighbours, who also ensure that the hot water is on and wood burner lit if needed ready when we arrive We have since made many improvements with many more planned.
What makes this house unique
The views from all bedrooms and top of the garden are stunning. The courtyard is a real sun trap and is very quiet, pet and child friendly and secure. the house has everything you need to enjoy your break and there is loads to do nearby and in Benevent itself. the towns Abbaye is truly beautiful and we never tire of walking around it.
