About Shawn Callahan
I am a degreed professional with a variety of passions and interests. In addition to an engineering career, I have worked in the natural foods industry (various roles over several years at a food co-op), nutritional counseling, and residential construction and interior design. For the past several years, I have been dedicated to the design/build of Green Gate Guest Houses- 10 unique lodging options within the Giants Ridge Recreation Area. I have a passion for all areas of construction, design, technology, sustainable living, renewable energy, etc., and enjoy putting ideas into action through the myriad of projects I always have going! I enjoy nature, outdoors, exercise (running, hiking, cycling, skiing, etc), as well as the culture and arts of the city. I've traveled domestically and internationally, and value the insight gained from experiencing new cultures. I often bring back design ideas that are eventually incorporated into various projects around the property. Looking forward to some time in Scandinavia next. Having operated my vacation rental properties for about a decade now, I have been fortunate to host such a variety of wonderful guests from all over the planet, and have enjoyed being part of the community in my hosting and travels.

We selected this particular condo because of its perfect location (as close to beach as you can get, but also walking distance to alpine slopes), and because of its attractive floorplan. It's perfectly sized as a couples getaway, yet still comfortable for two couples or a small family. During the warmer months, the Wynne Lake shore, outdoor pool, jacuzzi, tennis courts and trails are right out the door. The two Giants Ridge golf courses, restaurants and shops are just a short drive away. During the snow season, alpine lifts and cross-country ski, snowshoe and fatbike trails are just across the street- within walking distance but far enough away from the nighttime light & noise pollution of the alpine maintenance duties...As the saying goes: location, location, location!
