• RuralThe Megalong Valley is a 20 minute drive from Melaleuca. Here you can get a taste of old-style Australian country culture, with farms, horse-riding and tea-rooms.
• villageBlackheath is the most unspoiled of the upper Blue Mountains villages. There are cafes, galleries, books and antiques, but also plenty of small-scale local shops including greengrocers and butchers.

Suitability

• wheelchair inaccessibleThe cottage is on a single level and is suitable for guests with limited mobility. However the path from the street to the cottage is uneven and assistance may be required. The property is unfenced so young children should be attended when playing outside. The deck is about 4 metres above the ground. It is built to safety standards but children should be supervised.
