Cycling, Hiking, Fishing, Kayaking, Hunting or Relaxing. 5 Mins from Opotiki
One modern bedroom with new bedding. Adjacent en-suite completes the comfort. The cottage can sleep an additional person on a fold-down bed in the lounge, and a child or youth could easily sleep on the long couch. These two would have to use the en-suite for bathroom requirements however.

About Gary King
Gary and Lydia have operated a Guest House in Solomon Islands for the last 8 years and have just this year returned to live in New Zealand. They love people and looking after guests enjoying a well-earned holiday or seeking pleasure in their chosen sport or hobby gives a special reward.
Gary King purchased this Cottage in 2019
Why Gary King chose Waiotahi
Although a little colder than Solomons, Gary and Lydia loved the house and the beautiful cottage, the expansive gardens and mature trees and the orchard . The cottage on the property was built and then recently renovated as a permanent home and so has modern, high-quality fittings along with a great "homely" feel. The proximity to the sea was also a big factor, with Lydia having lived on an island all her life. The wonderful friendliness and relaxed manner of the local people makes Opotiki a great place to live or visit.
What makes this Cottage unique
The proximity to the Motu Trails is an obvious unique feature of Renga Renga Retreat. It is an asset to the whole area and a draw-card for hikers and cyclists serous and casual alike. The Bay of Plenty with its expansive beaches, rocky shores lined with Pohutukawa and the backdrop of pristine native forest makes it a special part of the world. These features provide a playground for those who love marine sports and activities or who get their adrenaline rush in the bush.
