Nestled under the majestic ridge-line of Purau Bay, Banks Peninsula you’ll be revitalised and feel re-connected to the land and native bush by the end of time here.

Our romantic, rustic hut is nestled into the bush and this is a true 'off the grid' hut experience with solar power, hot water bottles and a composting loo.

All linen is supplied and there is a small BBQ available.

Absolute oasis

Beauty spot with bay views, just out of town, quiet peaceful sanctuary, Paul was so friendly and welcoming, would highly recommend for a weekend getaway

Quaint cabin In the Woods

We were warmly welcomed by Paul who showed us around! It was a wonderful place to relax, although the amenities are minimal as long as you know what to expect it is amazing! The hot bath was a bonus!

Rustic Retreat

Nothing fancy about this place, it's a great quirky little hut in amongst the bush. A nice spot to get back to nature, just relax and watch the stars from the outdoor bath.

Reset and recharge

This was exactly what I was looking for, a chance to reset and recharge myself, time for spinning, knitting, reading, walking, eating and sleeping (9 hours of much needed restorative sleep) Actually time had no meaning for 2 full days and it was wonderful. The hut held the heat of the day so was warm enough at night (winter may not be so kind though), the bed comfy and the small solar light just sufficient, my head torch made evening reading possible. Andrea and Paul were very welcoming and wonderful no-fuss hosts. My comments for improvement are that the “kitchen” needs some work, such as rainproof shelter, bigger bench or shelf under the bench to put food etc on, iced slicker-pads for the chilly bin (which was very useful), more water for washing dishes and a backup gas bottle for when the gas runs out. The gas heated bath is a treat, it would be nice to have it filled with fresh water each day. On the whole though I loved my stay and most definitely would love to go back Thanks, Louise
