Lack of service

Room itself was great size for our family and clean. Room maintenance basically non existent, requiring us to contact the reception to request room cleaning, or additional items that were not replaced. Noise of music from gym was bad each morning from 6am, not good after recovering post surgery. We had road frontage, so street lighting was a factor as there were no blinds in the living areas. When we complained about the room maintenance, we were told they don't do daily services, yet all emails before staying mentioned it would be done daily, with full service for stays over 5 days, we stayed 6. They call themselves serviced apartments.... told us they would do better next time if we booked directly with them rather than through hotels.com. i just did a price match on a second stay, it is cheaper to book through hotels.com. So, room is good, but dont expect them to clean much or replace much, they make you work for it.

Really loved this apartment and everything was great except the people in room above basically harassed me the whole time ! Otherwise it’s clean the staff are cool and nice furnishings bed was excellent and love to stay again just hope those clowns aren’t there In room above 😊

Very dirty apartment. We walked in and instantly regretted our decision to stay here but we had a very busy schedule so decided it was too much bother to look at changing or complaining. It was obvious the state of the apartment was not a quick fix, it has been dirty and run down for a while. We didn't want to spend much time in the apartment as it just felt icky. Extreme amounts of dust, sticky floor, stains, holes and rips in the couches. Blood stain on bedding, rubbish in the shower, stains and marks on the walls. Such a shame, as it could be really nice with some care and attention. Furniture needs replacing. It's not ok to have stains and holes on furniture that you expect guests to sit on (I couldn't sit on the couch - too gross). All the roller blinds are shabby. The main one in the living room is broken and wouldn't roll up all the way. The toilet blocked up on our last night but we were leaving early in the morning anyway. We wouldn't stay here again and wouldn't recommend it.

We had a four bedroom apartment for 6 adults and two children for three nights. Two adults declined to stay and went elsewhere. - I really don’t think that the property was properly maintained and checked before we arrived. I messaged and emailed a list of issues to the staff on duty, but unfortunately the poor man seemed to be the only person checking in and responding to issues. 1. Nails protruding from stair carpet caused a significant cut to the 6 year olds foot. - Not addressed during our stay. 2. In sufficient crockery and cutlery - Addressed on second day. 3. No lamps or side lights in one bedroom- Not addressed during our stay. 4. TV did not work as it did not have internet connection. Addressed in our third day. Although internet connection did go down regularly anyway. Not reported during our stay… … no soap etc in upstairs bathroom. … cleaning issues, found a number of interesting items under beds. Disappointing overall. Have stayed with Veriu several times before. They are not the cheapest, but they are usually reliable. It is a shame as it could easily have been som much better.

Very good size accommodation for families, lots of common space and has a balcony too. 5 mins walk to the University of Sydney - highly recommend this property if you want to stay close to the university for a visit. 2 mins walk to a bus station where you can get to Circular Quay. Reception staff are very friendly and patient to help us with directions. We enjoyed our stay.

Nice apartments located pretty close to Sydney airport. If you're planning to check-in late, I'd recommend getting your key code and instructions beforehand. Paid parking is available, but free street parking is also an option if you only plan on staying from late night till 6 AM.

Disappointing but doable

The room was not made up and cleaned even though the sign to tidy the room was put up at the door. The mirrors on the sliding wardrobes and the lamp shades in the living room are covered in dust. The level of cleanliness is sub par.
