About Geri Anderson
My wife Geri and I are retired university professors. Geri has developed into a very successful potter. All of her proceeds are given to the Wheelchair Foundation. Jim is active in local affairs. We moved permanent to the Forgoten Coast of Florida in 1999.
Geri Anderson purchased this House in 2001
Why Geri Anderson chose Indian Pass
Since we live down the beach 5 miles, we decided to buy a rental house that we share this beautiful areas with others and become an additional retirement benefit for us
What makes this House unique
Rejuvenation has the feel of privacy and remoteness. The views from the upper deck are awesome.

Perfect for social distancing. Not good beach location for small kids
The beach had maximum of 4 families per mile so it was very safe during Covid19. That said, THE BEACH IS A ROAD. With ATVs and SUVs constantly going up and down the narrow strip between the water and the dunes, we were constantly telling our kids (2, 7, 8) to watch for cars. It’s definitely a fishing community, not a family beach destination. The water is lake color. You can only see your feet about 3 feet out until it goes dark. Fisherman throw fish in after cleaning so dead fish heads wash up on the shore throughout the day that stink. There were several jellyfish. Some friendly, some that packed a 30 minute sting. So we didn’t let the kids in the water unless one of us stood watch. We collected about a dozen a day and tossed in the dunes. Between the road, the bugs, and the water, we won’t return to Indian Pass and can’t recommend it for families with small children. The house was fine. There’s no extra toilet paper or any of the condiments people talked about in pre-covid reviews. We had to buy everything down to salt and pepper. We called Geri about some completely rotted through boardwalk boards and she was prompt to say she will have them fixed. The only view of the water from the house is from the upstairs bedroom balcony or walking to the end of the boardwalk. The dunes are too high to see anything from the porch. Bring insect repellent. We got swarmed by mosquitos so thick we couldn’t swat them off the last day, despite repellent. They filled out car while packing it even. All in all, the house is great if you want to be in Indian Pass.
I have owned Rejuvenation, a very popular rental, for 20 years
and this is the first negative review. After I talked with this guest and
others before and after their stay, others could not imagine how
anyone could see Indian Pass so differently from their lovely experience.
This guest acknowledged Rejuvenation is a “great house” and “is very
safe during Covid” with so few people on a uniquely quiet Indian Pass beach
with a special, natural ambience. At this guest’s request, we delayed
the work on the boardwalk until their departure.
This beach is not a road; the distance between the end of the boardwalk and the water is
approximately 80 feet depending on high tide. The golf carts and very
few cars are allowed only by permit and well policed. Families enjoy
the good fishing, swimming, walking the beach, and peace and quiet
on this secluded beach with their children. They are mindful of
caring for the ecological balance. The natural beauty includes dolphins,
birds, eagles, and the jelly fish which occasionally pass through as they do on
any beach and are the favorite food of our cherished sea turtles.
Guests typically say the view of the Gulf of Mexico, St. Vincent Island
and Indian Pass from the upstairs and the downstairs rooms and decks is
incredible, and this guest sent a picture to prove it! They call Indian Pass
a little piece of Heaven! Many cherished memories of a lovely vacation are
created here every year.
We truly enjoyed our vacation at Rejuvenation. It is in a great location. Easy access to the boat ramp and the raw bar.
Thank you for taking the time to review Rejuvenation! We are always glad our guests enjoy this little piece of Heaven! We hope the rest of your summer is wonderful.
This house was great! It does have a lot of stairs but was clean and had everything we needed! Beds were super comfy as well! Would definitely stay there again!!
This is a great location! Overall, enjoyed our stay. We did feel that the place could have been cleaner upon our arrival due to sand, food crumbs, clothes, and beer bottles by the stairs to the beach left behind by previous renters. Though I think the state of cleanliness would have been better if Geri had been able to check up on the house like she normally does. She was out of the state at the time. The kitchen has plenty of materials to use, however, some of it needs to be updated and organized better. Geri was very helpful in answering our questions and assisting us when needed. My husband and sons enjoyed the convenience of the beach and boat ramp for fishing.
Overall a good experience. Owner allows leftover spices and condiments to remain for future guests, so we didn’t have to buy every little thing. Quiet, beautiful beach area. Updated appliances were nice. Unfortunately the beach fishing was poor this time, but that’s not Geri’s fault! ;)
A few minor issues to note. First, one bed is a waterbed; one of our kids got to experience it but didn’t love it - didn’t remember seeing that in the listing. Also, the master bed mattress is harder than I prefer, but extra pillows on hand solved that problem. Lastly, the only decent sized frying pan in the kitchen was ceramic coated but pretty well worn out - not a major surprise in a vacation rental, but just beware you may have difficulty cooking certain types of food...
the Saint Joe State Park Beach which is within a 20-minute drive was selected the Number One Beach in the United States several years ago, Saint Vincent's Island which is across the pass is a Great Nature Preserve and you have access to it whether for Exploring or a Quiet Sunny Picnic, for Shopping Old Town Apalachicola is only 12 miles away and the Famous Indian Pass Raw Bar is at the other end of the road. Apalachicola has just been named one of 12 top towns in America to see because of its history. Good restaurants and shopping. Port St. Joe is also 12 miles away with other good restaurants.
