Charming little house situated in the beautiful countryside just outside the town of San Gimignano, ideal place for couples wishing to visit Tuscany enjoying the freedom and privacy as well as the central position that this property has to offer.

The house is an oasis of peace and tranquillity, surrounded by a very well kept garden and with stunning view over the famous towers of San Gimignano.
Internally the house offers cosy and tasteful furnished spaces, whilst outside guests have at their disposal a large yard shaded by pine trees and provided with table, chairs and a barbecue for enjoying nice meals 'al fresco'.

The cottage provides an excellent starting point for those who intend to visit both San Gimignano (2 km) and the other most important art centres of the region such as Volterra (25 km), Siena (30 km), Florence (40 km), Pisa 60 (km). The beaches of the Tuscan coast can be reached in about one hour by car (60 km).

Wunderbare Lage, leider unfaire Vermieterin

Das Häuschen liegt wunderschön mitten in einem Olivenhain mit Blick auf die Stadt San Gimignano. Wir reisten an einem Samstag an, mit der Vereinbarung, dass die Vermieterin an diesem Nachmittag noch vorbeischaut. Dies konnte sie leider nicht wahrnehmen, was im ersten Moment auch nicht besonders schlimm für uns war. Am folgenden Morgen kam sie dann und wir bemerkten dass wir uns sehr schlecht miteinander verständigen konnten, da sie kein Deutsch oder Englisch spricht und wir leider kein Italienisch. Was sie sprachlich allerdings sehr gut hinbekommen hat, war der Einzug der 250 € Kaution. Die Sauberkeit des Hauses ließ wirklich zu wünschen übrig wir fanden kaum ein Geschirr was man auf Anhieb benutzen konnte. Alles war sehr dreckig. In den Ecken war sehr viel Staub und Dreck. Die Wasserhähne waren sehr verkalkt und im Bad auf der Ablage waren Verschmutzungen vom Vorgänger, sowie auch in den Waschbecken. Wir fanden fast nahezu überall Spinnweben vor die nicht erst seit ein paar Tagen dort waren. Auch in der Küche mussten wir feststellen, dass in den Schränken Essensreste waren in der Kaffeemaschine hatte noch Kaffeereste die noch feucht waren. Nach 12 Stunden Anreise mussten wir das gesamte Haus erst einmal reinigen. Bei einer Endreinigung in Höhe von 150 € plus Haustier 50 € ( was bei 15€ Stundenlohn im Schnitt 10 Stunden Reinigung bedeuten würde) sollte es wirklich einwandfrei sein. Wir haben versucht dies über die Agentur mit der Vermieterin zu klären, was uns leider nicht gelungen ist, da die Vermieterin nicht bereit war, uns einen Rabatt für die Endreinigung zu gewähren. Im Gegenteil sie bestritt dass die Fotos aus diesem Haus seien. Wir hätten sicherlich dafür Verständnis gehabt, weil wir ziemlich kurzfristig gebucht haben und somit eventuell nicht so viel Zeit für eine Reinigung geblieben wäre. Allerdings wäre es dann fair gewesen uns preislich entgegen zu kommen. Als Resümee müssen wir leider sagen dass wir uns ziemlich betrogen vorkommen!

De woning is prachtig gelegen. Je kan genieten van rust tussen de olijfbomen. Jammer dat de communicatie met de eigenaar moeilijk was (ze kende enkel Italiaans) en dat de WiFi niet werkte.

mooi gelegen, redelijk ingericht, maar enigszins gedateerd. heerlijk terras met uitzicht op prachtige omgeving. prima uitvalsbasis voor uitstapjes naar omliggende steden dorpen en natuurgebieden
