Tropical Bliss/Barry Lawson/April 2019
One week of total relaxation. The cottage (#28) was a great place to spend a week, very comfortable. We visited the grocery store (Mas x Menos) and fish market in Jaco daily and cooked in the well appointed kitchen.
The beach is a short walk from the cottage and we did long walks and swam daily. Sitting on the porch, listening to the birds and the surf while having morning coffee, began each day. Each day ended on the porch enjoying a glass of wine. Will hopefully be back soon.
I have been to Costa Rica 15+ times and finally decided to rent a bungalow. Renting from the owners was easy and their responses were very fast, usually within minutes. They took care of all our needs.
I remember when these bungalows were first built. The bungalows now remind me of ones seen in the South Pacific. The trees and other greenery surrounding the bungalows is now grown and looks beautiful. There was a ton of spiral ginger with large white flowers that attracted a large number of hummingbirds that were there on and off all parts of the day.
The bungalow was close enough to the beach (about a two minute slow walk) that the ocean could be heard when waking in the morning. The rear porch was awesome and very private. The outside shower was also handy.
It was also great being able to park the car under the bungalow on those sunny days (kept the car cool before entering). There was a really cool makeshift swing at the beach under the coconut trees. Pool was perfect for the evenings. A/C was very cold if needed. Well worth the stay. I would suggest it to anyone.
Life's a Beach on Playa Hermosa
This was our 3rd time staying in Kelly's beach bungalow. As before, we thoroughly enjoyed the house, the lovely pool and complex of bungalows, and its easy access to Playa Hermosa. The front porch is an extension of the house, and we spent hours relaxing there. The bungalow is well equipped, as advertised, with a definite "beach house" feel. We also enjoyed walking North along the beach about a mile to the tiny town of Hermosa, eating several times at both Vista Hermosa and Vida Hermosa. Vista is more Tica style, and Vida is a bit more tourist centered with a few beers on tap. We look forward to returning again to this lovely vacation rental.
Thank you Wayne for choosing bungalow #28 for your family vacation! I look forward to hearing from you soon to book your next trip.
Best time in Hermosa I have ever had. House needs a little work but overall for 100 dollars a night you can not beat it anywhere. The A/C blew so cold we had to turn it off at night. The kitchen had everything to get by. We cooked every day . I would recommend this place to all my friends
