Charming little house in a garden
Very comfortable little house set in a beautiful garden. Everything we needed was there, especially in the well-equipped kitchen. The property manager was available when needed. Would like to have stayed longer.
Very nice getaway
Beautiful property, and very friendly staff. Thank you Fidel and Vero. Food and groceries close by. Malecon is close and great for walking and views.
Dear Nancy, I am glad that you enjoyed the house, the location and our staff. We look forward to hosting you again at Casa del Zalate in Ajijic. Rgds, Pablo
Nice, quiet and nestled in a garden within the heart of Ajijic.
Great location! Right in the heart of Ajijic. Authentic Mexico. Don’t expect a gourmet kitchen but what you need is there. Great place to relax yet walkable to anywhere you would want to experience in the village. Great restaurants and galleries everywhere and friendly, helpful people. Good communication with natives but I would recommend knowing a bit of Spanish just to say hi, good day etc. overall we loved it and will be back.
Beautiful House Convenient to Everything
Beautiful oasis in Ajijic, walking distance to everything. Quiet, safe, beautiful. Owner is very attentive. We could not have had a better visit.
The gardens surrounding this home will make you feel like you are in a tropical paradise. You are only a couple of blocks from Lake Chapala. You have a view of the mountains from the property.
The house is a short walk to the center of Ajijic, restaurants, galleries, shops and The Lake Chapala Society, but it is also very peaceful and quiet.
There are several small stores within a block or two where you can buy basics or get ice cream. The house is furnished with everything you might need.
All in all, a great house in a great location. My favorite part of this house was lounging in the hammock on the screened porch, watching hummingbirds in the garden.
The owner arranged to have his assistant pick us up at the airport on our arrival in Guadalajara and then drive us back to the airport when we left.
This lovely home is nestled behind a wall and a lovely wooded garden.
Pablo, the owner of this lovely property, has maintained it beautifully. The lovely gardens are well tended, the three homes on the property have been well-maintained, and are very easy to move into. The location is perfect. It is two blocks from the Malecon walkway. A 10 minute stroll will take you to the center of Ajijic. The public transportation is reliable and inexpensive. Just a few short miles down the road is Chapala and another 20 minutes from there is Guadalajara. Fidel, Pablo’s assistant, went out of his way to make us comfortable. The local Mexican population is friendly and helpful. Plan on spending more than five days here if you can. It is well worth the time.
