Very pleasant Stay
We had an enjoyable ski getaway at the property. The manager was very responsive and courteous. The location was ideal, and the unit was well appointed and spacious. Overall we had a great time and look forward to going back to Stowe and staying at the same unit.
Probably the location and amenities were spot on!!! Very impressive and look forward to returning at some point.
Great place to bring the family. The room was just right for 2 adults and 2 young kids.
Winter wonderland ski weekend
Perfect place to stay for a little ski weekend with some friends. Great service, amenities, and very conveniently located.
Excellent location and beautiful studio
We had such a lovely time. The location is absolutely perfect. One gondola ride right to the slopes! The valet ski/snowboard service is wonderful as well. Not only is the facility gorgeous but the staff was extremely helpful and pleasant.
The studio was a perfect size for my boyfriend and I. We really enjoyed being close to the main lobby (not a long walk once you are back from skiing all day) :).
I definitely recommend staying here and will be anytime I return to Vermont.
Dishonest rental practices- please beware
I have stayed many times before at Stowe but this was our first and last renting the room via VRBO. The rental process was a hazle complete with lease agreement and a barrage of emails from the management company. There was a “Welcome” email that rather than welcoming anyone was a clear sign that I needed to proceed with extreme caution. And cautiously I proceeded to make sure at check out the long list of to do’s was completed, so instead of enjoying our time on the snow here I was making beds, putting towels in the tub and placing all garbage at the specified location. Then just now, I receive a message from the management person telling me how I had violated the terms of the agreement when I made sure EVERYTHING was left exactly as specified! All my future reservations will be booked directly with the hotel, lesson learned.
I am so sorry that you found the rental process a hassle & dishonest, yet you have not said what was dishonest about the process. We sent you multiple emails ahead of time because there was a delay of 4 weeks between the time you reserved the room and the time you provided us with your signature on the rental agreement. You also were able to read the rental agreement prior to booking the studio. There is nothing in our departure information which asks a guest to leave the bed made (that’s our job), it does ask that any used towels be placed in the bath tub and garbage placed outside the door in the hallway. When our property manager walked into the room the morning after you had departed, she found that the sliding glass door had been left open about 18 inches and that the previous night’s temperatures of negative 17 degrees had been allowed to come into the room along with a pile of blown-in snow. The room was cold and the heat was running continuously, fortunately none of the pipes were frozen. We were concerned about the heating system which is a few feet away from the outside door, with it being exposed to frigid air for an extended period of time. No one else had access to the room prior to the property manager entering. The email you received from us after your stay was simply a courtesy to explain what we had found after you departed. As it turns out the heating system continued to work just fine and your security deposit was returned in full. I hope you can appreciate that we work hard to maintain our room in excellent condition, and provide a great lodging experience, because we think that’s what our guests rightly deserve.
