We rented Andante by the Sea to celebrate my wife’s birthday. I could not have imagined a nicer place to celebrate. The view was out of this world, the amenities were perfect, the view was out of this world, the villa was in perfect order, (no signs of a hurricane here), the pool and hot tub were so relaxing. Did I mention, the view was out of this world? Ha.

I could not provide a higher recommendation. Trust me, GO!!

The Property owners and managers were wonderful to deal with before and during our stay. The property is very well kept and appointed with everything needed for our stay. The views from the property are spectacular. You are close to Cruz Bay, but not too close, and yet the property feels quite private. The house design sits perfectly to allow trade winds to blow through the house. Air conditioners were nice for the bedrooms while sleeping. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this property to others.

Part of me doesn't want to share any details about this amazing property. From my initial contact with Marilyn and Rich, I knew this was the place for my family. They were so helpful in answering all our questions. From the time we arrived, we felt like we were at a resort. We loved the welcome basket, the robes in each room, all the different types of coolers, and the pool floats. We were also super appreciative of the beach umbrella and wonderful backpack chairs. I am not one to like to cook on vacation. However, with a kitchen and a view like this one, we stayed in and cooked two dinners. The kitchen was so well stocked and the grill is in a perfect location on the deck.

We loved coming home from the beach and swimming at the pool and sitting in the hot tub. We loved all the different places to sit outside and especially appreciate how there were some shady spots to sit as well. The set up of the house is simply perfect and we had a constant breeze that was delightful. We walked down the path to Hart Bay a few times. It was one of our favorite things about the house. We found so much sea glass and many other treasures. We even saw an octopus at low tide. It is definitely a good idea to wear sneakers as you hike the path. If someone is not used to hiking and exercising, it could be a challenge. Favorite Restaurants for dinner Morgan's Mango and Ocean 362. Favorite Restaurants for lunch: Aqua Bistro and Skinny Legs. Things we would remember for next time (hopefully next summer), portable speaker to bring to the beaches, a few more thin beach towels. There are wonderful thick beach towels provided at the house. They were perfect for beaches in close proximity to the car (e.g., Maho) They were a little heavy for hiking to more remote beaches (e.g., Lemon Cay) Snorkeling at Maho and Little Lamshur was amazing! We saw so many turtles, a moray eel, a black tip shark, and many fish! Since we have returned home, there have been many times when we say aloud to each other, "When can we go back?" Thank you so much Marilyn and Rich! We are so grateful St. John continues to rebuild and we can't wait to return.

My husband and I and college age daughter just returned from 10 unbelievable days on St John and Andante by The Sea. Andante is in absolute pristine condition after Irma/Maria. We were blown away by the views of Hart Bay /Rendevous Bay when we first entered Andante and walked out onto the deck. The house is perfectly sited to receive the glorious tradewinds from the east. My husband and I stayed in the "Master" bedroom but the villa actually has 3 true masters with king beds and ensuite baths. We only used the top floor bedrooms but I asked to preview the bottom floor bedroom for future visits and it is spacious and lovely. The bottom story of the house also gets the easterly tradewinds. My daughter and I had fabulous massages on the lower deck with the tradewinds blowing but shaded. There is also a wonderful hammock on the lower deck which is a great place to lounge and read and nap. The bedrooms all have AC but I never used the AC in the east bedroom. The breezes at night(and all day!) were wonderful and we were lulled to sleep by the sounds of the wind and the ocean waves from Hart Bay. The bedrooms are all very private, with super comfy beds,the two top ones being separated by the great room. The house is beautifully decorated and was immaculately clean upon our arrival. It is fully equipped with everything you will need!Great kitchen! We opened the windows and doors every morning in the great room and kitchen and let the tradewinds blow through.(great screens in all windows and doors though we never saw one mosquito) The high speed ceiling fans are also great and we were never hot in the main part of the house. The satellite tv worked great and we were able to watch World Cup Soccer games while getting ready to go to the beach. The upstairs deck is large and has views east to Ditleff point and west over Chocolate Hole. You really DO get sunrise and sunset views from this villa! We watched the sunset every night from the brand new beautiful large hot tub and expanded new pool deck and sunrise from master deck. The pool is a great size and has beautiful new blue tile edging. Perfect for afternoon swims after returning from the beach. Easy 5 minute drive from Cruz Bay. Loved every minute at Andante. Marilyn and Rich(owners) were wonderful to work with and have obviously put a lot of love into this very beautiful villa. Megan and Dan, property managers were fabulous and responsive to any question. Can't wait to return to Andante!

We loved Andante. The views were amazing and we had everything we needed for 3 couples to stay comfortably for a week. The hot tub and pool were gorgeous and we really enjoyed having the grill for dinner 'at home' a couple of nights. Would highly recommend. For families or couples wishing to have privacy and comfort!
