Set through a gate and behind the main house, this sweet cottage is tucked away in the heart of amazing East Austin.

Through the wooden fence gate, you will find a cozy patio with a sitting area - perfect for a morning coffee. Into the cottage, you enter into a light, airy room with living room area, small dining table (or desk), and a full kitchen. The bedroom with a comfy queen bed, and dresser feels like home. The apartment is best suited for 2 people but with an air mattress it can sleep 3 in a pinch.

Guests have access to the apartment and its amenities which include:

I live in the main house with my family. We are usually on-site to attend to any emergencies or answer questions.
This unit is licensed by the City of Austin. Believe me, in the wide world of short-term rentals in Austin, that means something! Plus, I am the owner and manage it myself with Pink Bubble, my friends who help.

After hosting guests for over seven years, I can assure you that the value in our guesthouse is above and beyond your average Airbnb unit and hotels. There is a shared wall with the mainhouse but it's a thick wall and have never had any noise complaints.

What is the parking situation?
Guest parking is on the street. Walk to the right of the house and through the wooden gate.

Is this a stand alone house?
It does feel like a stand alone house, but one wall is shared. It has its own private gate and entrance and is very quiet.

Is the space wheelchair friendly?
There are a step up to the house. The house is one level and the doorways regular side.

Bars: Rainey St., Drinks Lounge, Violet Crown Social Club

Are there baby supplies?
Let us know ahead of time and we can have a high chair and/or pack n play ready for you.

How do I check in?
A day or two before your arrival, we send the details for your check in: address, door code, wifi info. You will be able to come and go using a code. If there are problems with the lock, we can direct you to a physical key.

Can I extend a stay?
To extend a stay, you can request through the app or message us. We will check the calendar then send confirmation with the new payout.

Can I change or cancel my reservation?
We have a moderate cancellation policy. It may vary a bit between platforms, but usually 5 days prior to arrival guests may receive a full refund. If a guests wants to make changes within the five days arrival or after arrival, we cannot provide a refund.

Are pets allowed?
Due to allergies, we are not able to host pets. We have an exemption from Airbnb from hosting guests with Service Animals or Emotional Support Animals at your listing.

Are extra guests allowed?
If you have a few (2-3) friends pop over, this is not an issues. If you have extra guests sleeping over or more than five guests for an event, please ask and we can asses:)

Is smoking allowed outside?
Yes, you are welcome to smoke outside the space. Please pick up cigarette butts. Smoking inside the home would result in a 250.00 fee for cleaning and possible blocking nights for other guests.

Could we leave our luggage?
We are able to store luggage in the space for two hours before or after check in. Let us know so our cleaners are not surprised. There is also a service (usebounce) that is an option for storing bags.

Could I have an early check-in or late checkout?
We use the DACK app (info given upon confirmation) where guests can purchase extra time before check-in or after check-out. This allows our cleaners to manage their time and have houses ready in a timely manner.

What is a MUST do in Austin?
We love Barton Springs (especially in warmer months). South Congress has so much in a close proximity. Park close to Jo’s Coffee and stroll from there (shopping, cafes, music!). Vera Cruz tacos are really the best Austin has! Our Capital is gorgeous and very worth a drive by!

What if I Come Across a Homeless Person?
Austin, like many other cities across America, is experiencing a crisis of homelessness. To that end, you may run across a few tent encampments in the hood. Honestly, no one will really want anything from you, but some folk from out of town are disconcerted when they come across it.

We expect guests to have a good time, relax, and enjoy themselves but we discourage overly exuberant partiers.

No smoking policy (except outside).

No pets allowed on premise. Owner has allergies. Thank you for understanding.

Early check-in or late check-out (maximum 2 hours) may be possible if arranged prior to check-in. Check-out exceeding 2 hours incurs a full day rental or forfeiture of security deposit based on owner's discretion.

3 people maximum.

$50 cleaning fee (additional cleaning fees might apply based on length of stay).

Any violation of house rules will result in a full forfeiture of the security deposit.

Any violation of city ordinances or Austin APD property visitations based on excessively noisy guests could result in guest removal from the property by owner and full forfeiture of the security deposit.

No outdoor grilling, no fires, no outdoor amplified music, no camping, no camping equipment allowed on the premise.

Interior furniture is not allowed to be moved outside at any time.

Guest may not entertain more than 3 people in the home, courtyard or premise without prior owner's written permission, and 'sleep over' of such guests is absolutely prohibited.

Prior to guest departure all trash, rubbish and discards must be placed in the outside trash bin, and soiled dishes cleaned and in dish rack.

Wet or used bath towels should be placed on the bathroom floor or in bathtub. Wet towels are not to be left on furniture or bedding. Towels and linens are not to be taken outside to the yard or garden or off premise.

-Excessive noise disturbances from renter reported by neighbors, other guests in adjacent units or Austin APD will result in security deposit forfeiture.

-If any smoke smell has been detected or a pet is on the property, a $200-$250 fine will be issued.
