Maggie and Gord are world travellers so conversation was stimulating and so interesting. Very kind and generous couple. Exceptional accommodations. Very comfortable room with king bed. Delicious breakfasts. We shall return!

We were the lucky recipients of an upgrade to a larger room and the lit fireplace created a very welcoming atmosphere. Having a guest kitchen available an added bonus!!Good to meet you Maggie.

Maggie was great, we booked last minute and she responded immediately. The place was amazing and she was a great host! We ended up talking for hours each morning at breakfast. Very intelligent and knowledgeable about numerous topics and extremely courteous!

Beautiful views, clean, comfortable, affordable and she even let us borrow her "bear horn" when we went hiking to some of the most beautiful places we have seen!

We will be back to Tara Shanti!

What a great idea to incorporate a yoga practice to our journey in the Kootenays by simply going downstairs.

We spend most of our time on the scenic patio where we enjoy every angle of the spectacular views of the lake.

I was extremely impressed. Tara Shanti has a very relaxing atmosphere and a gorgeous view. The deck, bedrooms, guest lounge and kitchen are tastefully decorated and roomy. Even with other guests using the same common areas, I always had the option of having my own space at one of the multiple tables or lounging areas. Breakfast was delicious, locally sourced, and different every day. And Maggie was absolutely wonderful - she provided plenty of suggestions for activities in the area and a lovely yoga class. I had a response within hours of my request to book a room and my damage deposit was returned within a week of staying there. I will definitely be back the next time I need some R & R.
