Mammoth Cave, Dinosaur World, WKU Athletics, National Corvette Museum.. just 30 miles away!!! Nashville, Opryland, Tennessee Titans all within 80 miles!!!
The Red Door Lakeside sits high upon the ridge overlooking Barren River Lake. A 2400 sf. farmhouse-style home, has 3 floors, 3 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and sleeps 8 comfortably. All furnishings have been purchased or handcrafted specifically for the comfort of our guests.

This house was incredible! Right on the lake with a great view with everything we needed. The sleeping porch was a big hit and had someone out there every night. Would highly recommend for a getaway or any other outing

This home is a perfect spot for celebrations or just for relaxing days with views of the lake. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you’d need to make a home cooked meal. The grill could’ve used a good cleaning but was functional. Our favorite spot was the screened in porch.

Beautiful Kentucky Lake

What a beautiful destination for a family reunion. We ran into some weather difficulties, and the owners stepped in immediately to make everything right. This is your best choice of a place to relax with a lake view.

Excellent Experience

All the detail that went into planning for our arrival were amazing. Including having such tasteful Christmas decor thoughtfully displayed through the entire home. This alone kept our great nieces who visited us one night quite busy trying to count all the Christmas Trees. The views from both well equipped porches are great. Communication with the owners was excellent and they were such wonderful and personable folks. Highly recommend this home.

This home was amazing! So clean and comfortable. Tammy went out of her way to make sure we had the best stay. Far enough from the city to see stars I’ve never seen before yet close enough that you didn’t have to travel far for adventure. This is definitely a return vacation home for us!! A wonderful to place to stay! We met for a girls weekend and really enjoyed our time at the Red Door Lakeside. The home was beautifully decorated and very clean. Everything we needed was provided and Tammy was so helpful! We would definitely stay here again!

Red Door Relaxation

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Red Door Lakeside. Tammy was an amazing hostess and answered any questions we had in minutes, even when we locked ourselves out! The home was impeccably decorated. The beds so comfy. And we loved the decks! My daughter enjoyed the nook so much. The home is even better than it looks online. If you want to stay in the area, this is the place to choose!

The Perfect Place to Celebrate a Special Occasion

We were thrilled with this property. 3 levels. All very clean and well decorated. We had everything we could need. The downstairs bonus room with the games and extra bedrooms was the best place to hang out and enjoy some fun with all my friends. We loved the sleeping porch so much! So much a great space. Overall Tammy was an amazing host and was very accessible during our stay. 10/10 would recommend staying here again.

An oasis in the woods

The place is a little slice of heaven! It is fully stocked with everything you could need. Beautifully decorated and Tammy has thought of all the details. 4 college friends looking for rest and relaxation and we hardly left the house, didn’t want to! Had to call Tammy to change out a gas tank for the fire table and she was there in 10 minutes-an amazing host. If you want a place that is perfect-stay at the Red Door!

Perfection!

This was hands down the best vacation stay ever. The house felt like a warm hug that just welcomed us all. Tammy was a delight to work with and her design flare had us all wishing we could take her home with us. We all said we want her to come decorate our house. I highly encourage you to plan your next adventure at the Little Red Door. I just hope it’s available the next time I need to unwind on that amazing sleeping porch!🥰

Perfection!

Perfection is the only word to describe the Red Door Lakeside. It was amazing and we did not want to leave. Tammy was incredibly thoughtful and a pleasure. We were already discussing when we would come back, buying our own lakefront property and seeing if Tammy would decorate for us. It was FANTASTIC. Do not hesitate to rent for your vacation.

Beautiful Property

The minute you walk through the door you notice extra care given in every detail. Everything says “welcome and relax.”. Communication with host was the best we’ve ever experienced. Special little touches like a welcome bag with cookies from a local bakery or items in the pantry gives you the feeling your host is happy to have you. I’d recommend to anyone in area to explore especially Mammoth Cave.

Keith and I have incorporated our favorite things into the Red Door Lakeside. We never want to be just a place to spend the night...we want to provide a great vacation rental experience. The location is part of the Sunset Ridge development on the main channel of Barren River Lake. Nestled in the rural countryside of Kentucky, as the seasons change so do the surroundings. Each season offers a unique feel and the sunsets never disappoint!!

I love that the floor plan not only allows for all 8 guests to eat together, watch a movie together, play games together...but at the same time has lots of space for branching out to read a book on the front porch, take a nap in the screened Sleeping Porch, let kids play on one level and adults escape somewhere else, etc!!
