TÀmÀ historiallinen, koiraystÀvÀllinen uimaranta Gearhartissa on vain kolmen korttelin pÀÀssÀ rannalta yksityisellÀ eekkeri-alueella, jota ympÀröivÀt vanhat mÀntymetsÀt.

Latourette House sijaitsee neljÀn korttelin pÀÀssÀ Gearhart keskustan alueella kauppoja ja kahviloita, ja 11 kilometrin syvyydessÀ valtatie 101 Cannon Beach.

Toisessa makuuhuoneessa on parivuode, kolmas on yhden hengen, ja neljÀs on kaksi erillistÀ vuodetta toiseen televisioon. On lisÀksi sohva olohuoneessa.

Kaksi kylpyhuoneissa on suihkukaappi, ja yksi on antiikki kylpyamme rentoutumiseen kylpyjÀ.

KesÀllÀ, alakerran nukkuva kuistilla seulotaan ikkunat voidaan kÀyttÀÀ lisÀksi nukkumatilaa kaksi erillistÀ vuodetta. TÀmÀ yhden-of-a-kind tila on muuttunut omistajan perhe "seinÀ lehdessÀ" ainutlaatuinen seinÀlle. TÀmÀ huone ei ole eristetty, joten se ei sovellu nukkumiseen kylmÀllÀ sÀÀllÀ.

We LOVED this rental. Amazing location, unique and historic home, lots of light, very clean, comfortable beds. Just when I think I have found the best rental, I find an even better one and this is definitely it! I can't wait to stay here again!

We have been going to Gearhart, Oregon every summer for the past 30 years. It was so fun to stay in the original home and Gearhart. The sleeping porch did get chilly at night, but it gives a cabin sort of feel, perfect for kids.

Memory making at this coastal vintage home

The wooded property, you felt like you were in the woods at the coast, but it’s only an 11 minute walk. The path to the beach is scenic and a bench midway. Perfect for changing into shoes and brushing off the now dry sand. We had 6 yo to 81 yo with a cane who did the walk. The home has kept all the charm but modernized in the right places. The kitchen has all stainless steel appliances made for a large family (we were 6-9ppl over our week there). The dining table could seat up to 11 with the various chairs. So much seating and space in the living/family room. We set up a 6’ folding table for a hard puzzle for the entire stay and people could still move around. We also spent a lot of time eating and gathering outdoors. Either in front of the house or at the picnic table and chairs around the fire pit to the side. They set it up well. It’s enclosed by these fragrant floral shrubs that keep you cool and keep off the evening mist. NOTE: There are two TVs, but they are small. One is 17” and the other 27” maybe? Both upstairs in bedrooms. It was actually perfect for us since the whole point is to get away from screen time, but great for some snuggle and downtime. WiFi is good. Bathrooms are vintage but updated enough. Washer and dryer rocked! And there’s a sandbox! If you want a vacation out of a Wes Anderson movie (all the quirky charm and still comfortable, this is the place. Other notes: The beds seemed sketch, but were totally stable and comfortable. I slept better than my own bed! They have this bunk room, that’s a screened in addition to the house with siding on the interior wall. 4 beds. And the best “signature book” all over the walls and ceiling. Sharpie and chalk pending surface; bring both! They have quite a few games (Scrabble for sure) and puzzles, but we brought our own. They give you at least two days of coffee, dishwasher soap, laundry soap, liquid soap and sponge to help with shopping. SO well appointed! Bday candles, foil, Saran Wrap, SO MANY plates and utensils! They left a hand picked wildflower nose hat in a jelly jar on the vintage kitchen table❀ IF YOU ARE NOT FROM THE PNW: It’s 10 minutes door to door to the Carousel Mall in Seaside. Downtown Gearhart is super charming spend an hour two there a day. Cannon Beach is probably 20ish minutes away.

Fabulous Historic Home

We love this house! From the screen porch where our boys live to sleep in the coastal cool air, to the gorgeous living room with tons of natural light and the large yard, it is a terrific place to stay at the beach. And the kitchen remodel is terrific!

Going to Grandma's!

This 100 year old house is a gem. Family pictures and old pictures of the house adorn the walls which gives it a very homey feel. The house is perfectly situated for a walk to the beach or a stroll around the beautiful neighborhood. It's two blocks from the best restaurant in town. The Pacific Way restaurant is 5-star all the way. The house sits on an acre lot which provides lots of privacy and places for the dog and kids to play. Three of the bedrooms have their own bathrooms which is convenient. The bedrooms could use some updating as well as the bathrooms, but everything worked. I've rented many VRBO's, so I didn't take my blow dryer because one is always provided. This house didn't, so make sure you pack one. The kitchen is small, but workable. The best feature of the house is the sun room in the front. It has lots of comfortable seating and windows where you feel like you're sitting outside. The whole house could have been a little cleaner. Cobwebs everywhere. If you're looking for a modern home with modern conveniences, this may not work for you. There is no TV in the front room. If you're looking for a place for your family to gather in privacy with lots of room outside to play, this is a perfect fit.

Quirky Old House

This house was huge and great for our large family. A great quiet location. It is an old house and the bathrooms were pretty small. We really appreciated being able to use the washer and dryer.

Annual Sibs Reunion

The house is a beautiful old Victorian style house. We had a wonderful time. The kitchen has been updated and if very will stocked with dishware, silverware, glassware and cooking utensils. The rest of the house is still very much like it was when it was built. It was fun to see the old style light switches in the Living room, and imagine the family that had spent many fun summers at this house. There were a cobwebs and dust bunnies, which is the reason for the 4 stars rating instead of the 5 stars. Other than that it is a wonderful location and lovely home to spend a bit of time at the coast.

Friends Ocean Trip

We loved the safe yard for all our children to play in the sandbox/on the hill with no worry of traffic. The beach is a good walk down the road and on the trail beyond, little legs will get tired and you might need to carry a kiddo. The graffiti room has screens only and we kept the door closed to stay warm as we stayed in September. Overall enjoyed our stay.

We had a lovely stay - the house was perfect for our needs. The house is old but has charm and is kept in really excellent condition. Plenty of places to sleep, well stocked kitchen, and the sun room is so comfortable and delightful!

Beautiful & lots of beds (but don't come for the sleep)

First off- this is a super cute historic house located in a great quiet coastal community. The yard is big and great for kids to play in or for a nice small fire. There are a lot of beds too- which is great for a crowd! However, it's worth noting that the beds are all.... historic... feeling. If you are prone to tossing at night you'll hear the bedframe protest. The sleeping porch is great for teenagers or kids who want to do a sleepaway camp type experience as its lined with four beds with a liberal indoors graffiti policy that feels really campy in a good way. Adults or finnicky sleepers may notice that the porch slopes away from the building and consequently the beds do as well. My only real grouse is that the mattresses were truly not comfortable, feeling alternately rock hard or pillow soft. As someone whose back is past its prime I definitely paid a price for sleeping like that. Bottom line- if you're an easy sleeper with a big traveling entourage, this place is awesome. For my part, I'm going to have to find somewhere with mattresses that aren't as antique as the furniture!

Quiet Retreat

This older charm has so much room to move about. One of the best parts was the sitting room with a fireplace. We haven't sat and visited as a whole family in a long time. Thank you for everything, will definitely be back here..

this property was quaint and charming. Very old and in good condition for the age of property. A little further from beach to do more than a daily walk for this 75 year old. But it is an east access trail. Loved the decor and abundance of towels and supplies. Clean.

Historical gem

Peace and quiet surrounds this 1892 gem. It's how the beach should be enjoyed. Deer and elk are frequent visitors.

A Classic Gearhart Experience

The La Tourette House is over 100 years old and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Given its age, it was surprisingly comfortable. A very quiet and peaceful location for a much-needed short break.

Really cool house

This is a house on historical registry and has lots of interesting pictures. The main living room area is bright and really nice to hang out in It was very clean and comfortable with a nice path for dog walking

Beautiful home, very poor property management team!

Loved the home, the property management team was not great. Made an error on the listing for a hot tub, wrong WiFi password, wrong key box code, overflowing garbage cans that took three days to resolve.

Great Home!!!

What a wonderful place to stay. It was very comfortable and surprisingly so given its age. The history of the home was fun to learn about. It was beautiful and perfectly located. Plenty of room for large gatherings and still easy even with young children. Can't wait to come back!
