An excellent place on a great beach

This was our fourth year taking a weekend vacation with our portland family of 6. With my wife and me this made 8. This was a wonderful place to stay, kitchen was well equipped with excellent pots and pans (although we had to buy some crab crackers-next year we will be prepared. It was a short, easy walk to the beach and the location was close to Lincoln City and several nice groceries where we could get fresh crabs. There also was a grocery in Neskowin which was good for essentials. There were plenty of herbs and spices as well. There was a nice farmer's market in town one day which was always fun. Small but the meat was terrific as were the beets and peaches plus other things. There were also some good nearby restaurants, including one in town. The house was a little unconventional in that the great room and kitchen were on the third floor, but the view was glorious and so it got the light, whereas the bedrooms were in the trees. The towels etc were also excellent etc. The only thing we would have liked would have been beach chairs because there was no place to sit. If we had known, we could have easily brought some. All in all we were very happy with it and it stood up well to the other places we have stayed at.

Treehouse vacation

The location and size of the house was great for our family vacation. Our family would stay here again as we loved how close it is to the beach! We knew to bring some extras like foil, spices and cooking utensils. What we didn't anticipate was needing more toilet paper, paper towels, laundry soap, and garbage bags to accommodate our family stay. We were able to have an early entry which we really appreciated. We found two vacumns, none worked. The maintenance man stopped by and cleaned the barbecue and the hot tub for our use. He even found a vacumn so we could clean the dirty carpets. The showers on second level had one where a drain was slow and another that had a broken shower door. While I understand that summer is high season, what this house charged per night, we expected a home that was clean and stocked for use. We really liked the view from the top floor but the stairs were a workout!

Treehouse vacation

When we arrived, we noticed the floors had not been vacumned. We tried each of the two vacumns but none worked. Luckily the maintenance man stopped by to check on the hot tub readiness. We asked him to check on the barbecue as well. He was very nice and easy to work with. He offered to find us a working vacumn cleaner then brought it by. We were able to vacumn the floors ourselves. We knew to bring some extras like spices, cooking utensils, foil, and zip-loc bags. What we didn't anticipate was running out of kitchen garbage bags, paper towels, toilet paper and laundry soap. We also noticed that the showers on the second level had issues - slow drain on one; broken shower door on the other. The refrigerator ice dispenser on the door did not work. There was one light out over the counter in the kitchen. For the rate you charged our family to stay per night, we expected to come into a home that was clean and with all systems working. We would definitely want to stay here again but would expect that you address these issues so the next family has the home they expect to arrive to.

Almost perfect!

Great location, just a short walk to the beach. Small fenced yard for the puppies who refuse to poop on leash. Lots of room for the entire family. The only reason we didn't give it 5 stars is because of all the stairs. With the kitchen area on the top floor, bedrooms on middle floor and entertainment area on the bottom floor, we spent a great deal of time going up and down the stairs. On the plus side we got our workout while on vacation.

Beautiful house but could use some love...

For the most part the house is perfect. There were a few details that need some addressing. The bathrooms had a ton of mold growing in the windows, one of the toilet handles kept sticking causing the toilet to continuously run, one of the bunk beds needs its screws tightened as it wasn't sturdy at all and made lots of noise every time my kid budged, and some of the heaters in the house didn't seem to work. Outside of that the house is cozy and suited our family and dog well. There isn't much of an ocean view (you can see a slight sliver upstairs) but we would stay there again if the issues I mentioned were addressed first.

Enjoyed the overall layout of the unit and location.

We had a great stay. Had stormy weather which was enjoyable to watch from the inside...but it diminished outdoor adventures a bit. Things that could be improved...1) gas fireplace does not work, 2) BBQ propane tank was empty, 3) BBQ grill had not been cleaned (leftover "crusties" from previous guest's meal), 4) no BBQ tools, 5) several light bulbs were out and 6) kitchen window could not be closed completely.

Thanksgiving stay

Stayed here with our family. Neskowin is a sweet little town. House is close to the beach, view of the ocean is limited from the house, but a quick walk. Kitchen is well stocked and has everything we needed to prepare our Thanksgiving meal. We did have issues with the septic system, could only use 2/4 toilets for the majority of our stay and the sinks did not drain well. Hot water was also an issue.

Awesome Coastal Escape

The Treehouse was awesome! It was the perfect for several family and friends for a much needed coastal getaway. The reservation process was very smooth and upon arrival the house was super clean and has great amenities. I would highly recommend Vacasa, and this house in particular, if you want a worry free vacation rental.

Great house! (If you don’t mind stairs)

We stayed here with family from Wyoming who have never been to the coast before. Access to the beach was easy and super close to the house. You could see the ocean from the top floor of the house. It was nice to open the windows in the morning and listen to the waves. There was more than enough room for our big family of just under 20. The house was super nice and clean and there was every kind of cooking utsil you could think of. The only thing you would need to consider when picking this house is the stairs. There was a couple rows of fairly steep stairs between each level (3 floors here). They definitely left my calves feeling super sore! Taking all our food up to the kitchen which is on the very top floor was hard. But still everyone loved the house and we had a great time.

Great space for family with kids and adults

Neskowin is a great private beach with multiple access. The tree house three floor design gives you a top living floor with view of the ocean and pine tree tops. Large space for indoor and outdoor activity. Great separation of activities from top floor to bottom floor TV and hot tub. Great beach access just 100 yards from the door.

INCREDIBLE!! Fantastic!! Beautiful!!

It was my whole family with my kids and Grand kids. We had perfect accommodations! Plenty of room! The house is stocked for kids. Lots of games and Xbox. The house is well stocked with anything you need. Minor issue arose they were right there to help and fix. You could walk right down to beach or walk right to this little store that had very nice things. There was a restaurant right next to it on this little stream that lead out to the ocean . Was delightful! Had campfire on the beach which was so fun for the grandkids! We would recommend this place to anyone! Thanks for the memories!!

Great Property for our family group

This is our second visit to this particular home and we loved our visit. The only small, small negative was the dining table surface was sticky even though we wiped it down a few times. There were plenty of towels for our large group and the set up with the living room and kitchen on the upper floor is great! We love coming to Neskowin beach as this where we came as children with our parents many years ago.

I would likely stay here again

Other than the hot tub needing to be unlocked we really enjoyed this house. The floor level was great for older kids and had toys games and video games. Best part from the top floor living room we couldn't hear them playing games! Perfect layout for older kids. The top floor was perfect for grown ups and the kitchen size was great! Great for larger groups even the bedrooms were well insulated so if someone wanted to go to bed early they could.also not too far from the beach. Top floor even has a view of the ocean Well stocked with games and enter for all ages.

A great life in the Treehouse.

Very well equipped. Convenient to the beach. Nice, safe, quiet neighborhood. Kids loved the hot tub.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
