The lake and views were amazing.
House was clean and comfortable.
Thanks. We do love it
The owners were quick to respond with questions and gave us some good advice for restaurants in town. Hint: buy the lobster at the grocery store and cook it at the lakehouse.
Very quaint older home with a lot of personality. We brought our own boat and it fit perfectly in the boathouse. Was wonderful to be able to use their water floats, ski ropes and kneeboard. There are lots of beds and plenty of room in the house to move around. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed from cleaning, cooking and dishware. It's a beautiful view from the porch where we spent most of our time and if you turn all the lights off and walk out to the dock you can see a thick blanket of stars.
Loved this place!
beautiful spot, sitting high off the lake. We lived on the beautiful porches and deck taking advantage of the lake views. Great gas grill! Mattress in one room could use an upgrade. We had a hard time finding the beach and stairs to it were in bad repair and trees over grown. Was glad we had not brought children...most of the beach was in the boat house. The kayak and sail boat were missing, but we had our own kayak, and loved using the canoe. This place was my perfect lake house getaway. A hundred years of charm and history that you could feel when you went through the door. Two dominating factors also made this perfect for us. Those would be that there were two bathrooms, and our dog could come. Would love to make it our family getaway!
Rustic Charm, Needs Some Updates
This camp was in an ideal location on a quiet lake. Views were spectacular. The camp had a lot of charm and was in general, very comfortable and easy to be in. Kitchen was well stocked. The three upstairs bedrooms were large and airy. The basement, which housed the two other bedrooms, was damp and musty, but got better when we ran the humidifier. The wrap-around porch had structural concerns, and some of the floor boards were cracked with peeling paint. Patio furniture could use an update.
Love the lake camp
The perfect lake vacation . The vintage camp house has the charm , privacy , and views that personifies the classic Maine vacation. Wonderful!
I have never in all my years as a property manager and traveler stayed in a place lacking in hygiene and I just spent time in India and it felt more hygienic there. Mice poop in fridge etc. Dump. Do not stay here. May be over a hundred years old but dust doesn’t have to be as well nor does the furniture.
We are not sure how to respond. The house is professionally cleaned between each Traveler as it has been for years. Mice and ants are always a concern in secluded Maine camps but we use a professional pest control company to control things. Most people love the quaintness and seclusion our home offers. These Travelers left the house a mess and complained about everything from not enough curtains on the windows to our Hummingbird feeders. We can only say that potential Travelers should look at other reviews to get a real idea of what we offer.
