This property was lovely in so many ways! Extremely comfortable bed- great location- clean and neat! Unfortunately for us there were a few minor misses that might not matter to others. The main one was the layout of the unit- with gorgeous views of the water that were barely visible from the main living room because the master bedroom was in front overlooking the-ocean, so if you were in the living room, the wall was the main view. There was a very nice but small deck with great views- we enjoyed it for a short time. Another unfortunate problem was that the mosquitoes were rampant- we understand this was not the norm- but it prevented outdoor living. However, the nearby beach was incredible and mosquitoes minimal- so we enjoyed a walk there every afternoon during low tide (no beach at high tide). We saw seals and wildlife and the privacy was wonderful, our dog could run and swim and we enjoyed it immensely! The kitchen was well appointed with nice dishes and flatware- all great except- plastic wine glasses! With the very nice mugs and other glassware- this was disappointing. We think most people would - and have- rated the property at the top- and if we could give a 4.5, we would. The hosts were also very nice, their home is right next door and they had a great hot/cold water hose we were able to use to rinse our dog off after our beach walks. Enjoyed our stay- and other than these few mentioned items- would recommend without hesitation.

Surfs Up was perfect. The cottage is beautiful inside and out. It is cozy and beautifully decorated and contains everything you'll need for a relaxing getaway. The views from the balcony and bedroom are stunning. We were thrilled that we could bring our dog with us - she loved playing on the nearby beaches and snoozing back at the cottage. Brian and Cathie are fantastic - they warmly welcomed us and offered some great suggestions for things to do in the area (we really enjoyed lunch from the Port Grocer). If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing, and beautiful escape, Surfs Up is the place.
