Holly tree lodge ,was perfect for a peaceful relaxing break ,the lodge was very clean and had everything you would need for self catering,The hot tub was lovely,the site was peaceful and well maintained.

The location was great, we had an absolutely brilliant time. The bedrooms were cleaned and looked after well. The location are ideal for people wanting a relaxing holiday away from hustle and bustle or just to spend time on fishing, just few driving minutes to York.

Lodge itself was very clean and the hot tub was ready to use on arrival (although we were informed that it might not be up to temp on our arrival). Loved the little essentials such as tea, coffee, sugar and milk and the washing up essential ready for us. Rooms were very cozy and we liked having the blackout blinds. During the evenings we enjoyed playing games that were in the lodge and then some time in the hot tub. This was a lovely touch! Only downside we found was that we struggled to dry the towels.

A wet room is appreciated as I cannot walk and am unable to access a raised shower tray.

A wet room is appreciated as I cannot walk and am unable to access a raised shower tray. The external ramp was easy to use and internally I had room to manoeuvre my power wheelchair. A lovely, relaxing mini-break.

From the minute we arrived our family knew we would have a fab few days away, lodge very clean comfo

From the minute we arrived our family knew we would have a fab few days away, lodge very clean comfortable and spacious it was almost perfect (I have very high expectations so please read this as an extremely positive post), we had an issue with the kettle - it was faulty, I called the number supplied and was welcomed (even on a bank holiday) we were supplied a kettle the following morning (this was really great service), the following would have made our stay absolutely perfect (a clothes airer, or line to help dry swimwear from using that lovely hot tub) also matts especially doorways to decking area, We found our wet room floor got very wet (I know that’s the point of a wet room) however the one small bathroom matt wasn’t enough (especially with no where to dry). (Being very picky - to add a bit of extra luxury would be consideration to an air fryer or outside BBQ) Also on the decking there are door stops the amount of time I accidentally either kicked or stubbed toes which although was from our family being clumsy a consideration to place some kind of done over these may prevent someone else doing this. In summary it was almost perfect, would I return YOU BET we would, a few tweaks and it would be perfection! Well done and thank you for an awesome few days away
