The air unit was not working when we got there, Molly sent someone that came within 4 hours & he fixed it!! There were ants & brown bugs everywhere, I bought bug stuff & put out to treat them.. this was the most aggravating thing! We left a day early & I notified Molly when we left!! I left everything clean & took trash out twice a day, .. there was trash at the picnic table before we got there, and trash/ foods in the chest in the master bedroom.. we did not use the chest.. Molly was helpful and friendly!!

Family vacation 2025

It was a great option for our family! Everything worked great. There were ants in the house while we were there and we had to wash the dishes before we used them, so the managers should check that their cleaners are doing a detailed job.

Very private

My husband and i and our furr babie had a very good time..the house was nice and clean with zero complains the ac was good the house was cold at arrival water pressure in the shower knowks you down is so good lol..nice size rooms and 2 nice size bathrooms the livingroom with a kitchen is very spacious loved the back deck for brackfast and sunrize from the side view ..short easy walk to the beach..the fort historic site was very close and its so cool to see the tacky jack restaurants is close you can get a boat ride watch the birds and we seen an alligator swam by whyle we was eating on there deck..beautiful view! So overall was good and was glad that all those people who complained about the house and the floors was nothing at all..thank you for letting us stay with our pup we will be back for shore!

Gorgeous beaches and birds

Amazing location in a quiet coastal town. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets on the beach! The house was clean, kitchen had all necessities, and deck was a relaxing spot for coffee/drinks. Loved the local flavor of The Sassy Bass and the views at Tacky Jack's restaurant. The Puerto was great spot for fishing and watching the pelicans! Sunset walks along the beach so colorful and peaceful! So many interesting shorebirds to watch...Plover, pelicans, herons...

Close to the beach

The property was conveniently located just a short walk from the beach. It was perfect for our family and pets. It was clean and met our needs completely. It is an older property with older furnishings but that does not bother us. We had plenty of space and would stay here again in the future.

Close proximity to the beach. Large covered back porch with view of ocean. Disappointed in cleanliness on arrival. For cleaning fees charged I should not be cleaning large clumps of hair and dust. I sent pictures on arrival. There was no grill as described that should have been there. We attempted to cook on the stove but the eyes would only stay hot for a little while then stop working. The outdoor furniture was sparse and in poor condition. Adequate seating in living room but couches are in need of replacing. House has potential but needs some care.

Perfect Location, House Needs Some Work

Let me begin before anything else by saying that my family had a great week at BamaBound. The location is perfect for a quiet family beach trip, and it was well cleaned when we arrived. For anyone looking to rent here, just know that you are getting a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 2nd row house on the beach that is sub-2000 for a whole week during Spring Break in this economy - so you need to make sure your expectations match. I gave it 4 stars with those expectations in mind, knowing there would be a few issues here and there in the house. Now, we are pretty laid back, and we were there for the beach, not the house. Really, its just a place to sleep in the evenings and cook meals for us. So if you and your family are similarly minded, you will be fine here for the price being paid for it. Having said that, I will list out the things that you should know about the house going into it. First, the flooring is separating at almost every other board, with wide gaps in some spots. Then there is the back deck, which is in serious need of some TLC on the steps. It creaks and groans when you go up and down, so just be careful on it and let your kids know to go slow going up and down the steps. The last real negative is the hot water, it runs out after one shower. After the first day, we spaced ours out and it was fine for the trip. Oh, and just a heads up that when you cross the street to get to the beach, you need to turn right and go down to the bright yellow house to get to the public access to the beach. It is still a very short walk, but you can't go straight through and we learned that on the first day.

Work trip.

It’s a nice place that has everything you need. Great location. It could use some updating and small fixes (bathroom hooks,floorboards, attic entrance) around the place. Also would suggest bringing your own pillow and an extra blanket. Only two thin pillows and a thin quilt on the bed. Hot water hardly lasted for a shower. Overall a great stay, just could use some updating.

The listing on Expedia says there is a pool but there isn’t so when I brought this to the attention of the renter I was told nothing could be done. When I brought it to the attention of Expedia they reached out to the renter and I was refunded the booking fee. The plugs need to be updated because some are loose and the dryer needs to be replaced. Lastly I paid for late check out and the cleaners showed up 2.5 hours early.

Beach house

It is not going to be a luxury stay but it was cleaned very well. For us it did what we needed. We were there for the beach not the house so it was what we needed.

Needs attention

To start off on a high note the beach access was a short walk and we did like the covered porch for the couple times it came a rain shower. Now on to the down side. The house is in grave need of several repairs from flooring( stubbed toes on laminate that was sticking up) to a step that almost caused a fall. It served it's purpose as a roof over our heads for a guys fishing trip but that's about all. There is no gas grill as the description said but instead there is a fungal breeding ground of a charcoal grill that isn't built well and small. Hate to leave a review like this but the house has so much potential. Last but not least you could lose a small child to the jungle surrounding the house. Definitely needs a mower or at least a weed eater.

NO POOL, needs cleaning and updates

There is no pool access like the title of the listing states. The whole house needs some attention. only top shelf of the fridge is usable, the rest of the shelves are missing or broken. There is dirt/dust on the walls and ceiling near every air vent. One of the bar stools is broken (almost causing a fall), All of the bathroom towel hooks are broken. The toilet paper holder was broken. The master bathroom smelled like urine. It's not the worst place I've stayed, but could really use some help.

Pretty nice

Overall the house is nice and clean. We loved the location, it is a 5 minute walk to the nearest public access. There was plenty of hot water, we ran the dishwasher and laundry after everyone showered. The fridge had missing side shelves but it was cold. The popcorn ceilings, LVP floor and older decor made the home feel dated. Plenty of cookware and utensils were nice to have. The downstairs area was great for washing from day at beach but only has a charcoal grill. If you don’t mind an older home with a good location and away from the traffic, this is a great place to stay!
