Singaporean families get away to bond on their holiday: Vrbo survey

According to a survey of 1,000 Singaporean family travellers commissioned by Vrbo®, a leading online marketplace for holiday homes, 3 in 4 Singaporean families said that they saw overseas vacations as a chance to spend quality bonding time together, and amongst regular holiday home users, 77% felt that staying in holiday homes helps families to bond on their holiday.

Vrbo®, the world leader in vacation rentals, and Rakuten LIFULL STAY, Inc., a Rakuten Group company providing vacation rental services, have inked an agreement to collaborate to grow the vacation rental industry in Japan. Rakuten LIFULL STAY will provide Japanese property listings from its “Vacation Stay” service to Vrbo, while Vrbo will focus on driving demand for Japanese properties by promoting travel to Japan through its platform.

Vrbo survey reveals what dads in Asia wish to receive this Father’s Day

Of the respondents surveyed across Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan, most dads said they would love to spend quality time with their family and loved ones, as compared to receiving material gifts like books, belts, mugs and neck ties. Four out of five respondents also wished to travel more with family, even when more than half of them have traveled with their families in the past year.
