Olympic Village Inn is a family friendly Inn with 1 bedroom suites right at the base of Palisades Tahoe (Squaw Valley). It has a fully equipped mini kitchen, sofa bed, and two spa robes. The balcony has awesome mountain views. Included are: free ski storage down at the registration desk, parking and ski shuttle. There is an outdoor heated pool, 3 hot tubs along with covered BBQ . The Club House has a full kitchen with several tables, a lounge area with sofas and gas fire place and a separate large sauna; upstairs there is a game room and separate exercise room. Also, weekdays they might offer group snowshoeing, yoga classes, swim exercise, and other type of daily activity.
OVI is also walking distance to picturesque Palisades Village with restaurants, pubs, and shops! There is usually daily music at the various restraints as well as out side during the week and weekends.
This property is only a 7 day rental thank you. This is a rental for the entire week of Sunday Jan 1, 2023 to Sunday Jan. 8, 2023 NOTE (no daily rentals available) 10% off for first responders

Beautiful Location

The inn was nice. The kids slept on sofa bed which was in other room. Bathroom in between. Spacious. Beautiful balcony. Nice amenities. Played a little ping pong, shuffleboard, and Pac man with the kids. 2 out of the three arcade games turn on. They only sort of work but still fun. Nice clubroom with fireplace, kitchen and bathroom close to swimming area. One hotub was open one night and closed the other. Didn't get a chance to use it. The area had enough snow piles the kids played in. There was a nice shuttle system to take you to the village. I walked one time with 6 and 2 year old in the morning to go for breakfast. It was doable. Just at the maximum they could walk. Probably 10 minutes. Path was groomed. We had a good time and drove to Tahoe City for ice skating and tubing. Lots of traffic due to snowy conditions. Probably 30 minutes with the traffic. Overall we enjoyed it.

In the winter time you have a choice of 2 Ski areas Alpine Meadows and Palasides at Tahoe you don't have to drive just take the Base to Base Gondola which takes only about 15 min.

During the summer there are numerous hiking trails right out the door or trails near by. You can check out bikes and ride around the Village or down to the Truckee River a short way away and ride into Tahoe City on a dedicated bike and paved walking trail.

You can drive to Reno which is only about 45min away or take a drive to Virginia City which is only about 20 min. out side of Reno which is a must if you have never been there!!!

The grounds are very relaxing you can relax in your private room or sit by the fireplace at the lounge are or watch the big screen T.V. or read the new paper, or you can go down to the pool area and sit by the fire place and read in a more relaxing atmosphere.I
