Cozy and pet friendly historic home located in the heart of downtown Frederick. The house is just a block and a half from New Market Street, minutes to Hood College, and all of downtown Frederick within a 10-15 minute walk. This charming, 1901 historic home is both comfortable and upgraded with a remodeled, fully stocked kitchen, and stunning brand new bathroom. Modern amenities, include: high speed Wifi, smart TV, coffee station, luxury mattresses, air conditioning, and air purifiers. Free street parking.

House was clean and inviting.Beds very comfortable. Washer and dryer a nice feature to have. I just have one suggestion for the kitchen- teaspoons would be appreciated. The host was easy to communicate with and the whole rental transaction went well.

Beautiful charming home!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was amazing and perfectly located. We had an easy time finding parking and overall loved our time there. The coffee/keurig machine didn’t work properly but the tea selection was good enough that it didn’t matter much. We can’t wait to visit again!

Dill Cottage

Dill Cottage was a great place to stay. Kitchen and bathroom were remodeled and were beautifully done. Location was perfect being within walking distance of shops, restaurants and pubs. Would recommend!!

My Kind of Place

Our stay was exemplary! Following easy access we were greeted with cleanliness, a tasteful environment, freshly filtered water, elegant bedding, perfect lighting, heat, and air conditioning, and a cozy back yard. The host created a very accommodating place for anyone! Nice neighbor,too!.

First visit to Frederick

The house is very well preserved classical duplex home on a road with plenty of parking with easy walking access to Market street just a couple blocks away. Its ideal for our type of stay when we want to check out the city.

Fantastic find in great location

We loved our weekend stay and it was the perfect location for attending a concert at the Weinberg Center and walking around the downtown shops and restaurants. We had everything we needed and Edward was timely and responsive with our questions upon arrival. Great weekend getaway from DC and I'd definitely stay there again.

One amazing place

I can't say enough about this house. Checking in was easy and the place was very clean and updated. I enjoyed the home a lot. I came out to Maryland to do a bike race and if I do this race next year I most definitely will be staying here again.

Frederick gem

In a town with relatively few accommodations, this house is a standout. A new kitchen and bathroom enhance the charm of the wood floors and original staircase. It's well-located too--just a few walkable blocks from downtown Frederick. The three of us each had our own bedroom and the layout was perfect. Ed was so responsive both before and during our stay. I highly recommend this property if you're looking to spend time in Frederick.

Anniversary Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend at Cottage on Dill! I had a couple of questions and got in touch with the owner whom got right back to me. The house was just as described and VERY clean. Great town and the place was in an area that was 100% walkable. We will definitely be returning🙂

Charming duplex

Charming unit that has modern kitchen and bath. Enjoyed the back outdoor space. Location was perfect to walk to downtown and around Baker Park and Frederick’s most charming neighborhood. Owner was very responsive. Highly recommend.

Perfect spot in Frederick!

This is THE PLACE to stay in Frederick! Edward was a wonderfully gracious host- great communication and hospitality! The house itself has a warm, cozy historic feel but is equipped and decorated in a modern style. A perfect balance between honoring the history of the area yet providing amenities to help unwind and relax. The kitchen is nicely stocked, the bathroom is beautiful and the bedrooms are comfortable. The house was spotless! The front porch is a so inviting to enjoy morning coffee and the back deck was perfect to relax after hiking. The location is excellent…short stroll to restaurants, breweries, distilleries, Carroll creek park. It is on street parking but we had no trouble finding two spots just a few doors down. We took a 15 minute drive to a local state park where we enjoyed a hike then stopped at a local winery. So much to do from this location. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us Edward! Extremely clean and comfortable accommodations. Very close to all the fabulous restaurants of downtown Frederick. Frederick has wonderful shops and many activities to enjoy within walking distance of the cottage! The host is quite responsive.

My wife, Rebecca and I (Ed) are natives of Maryland and Virginia and we absolutely love Frederick because its the town were we got married. We are currently serving overseas with the U.S. Government and enjoy traveling around the world. When we are in the States, we really love visiting historic towns and Rebecca makes it a point to visit as many antique stores as possible. We travel with our little doxie named Clementine, which is why we believe in making our home pet-friendly.

The house is nestled in a quiet area of Frederick, just a block and a half walking distance from New Market Street. It is possible to walk everywhere in downtown from the Cottage. There are quiet neighborhood walks all within minutes, including the small Memorial Park and the larger Baker Park and Baker Park dog park. Carroll Creek trails run through Baker Park and into downtown offering a scenic way to see the town and quickly taking guests to the breweries off Carroll Creek.

Rebecca and I really wanted to make sure we kept various historic elements of the +100 year house like the wood floors and trim. We also decorated the house with primitive, americana, and federalist style decor to ensure the house didn't loose its historic touch.
We did remodeled the kitchen and bathroom to give our guests a bit of upscale experience. The bedrooms are equipped with high-end mattresses and linens for your convenience. A goodnights rest at any place you stay is important and we are ensuring you will experience that.
