HomeAway Premier Partner Program Terms


The HomeAway Premier Partner program (the “Program”) is available to all property-owners and authorized property-managers who list and manage through the HomeAway platform at least one vacation- or short-term rental property located within a participating region (“partners”).  Partners who have consistently delivered and continue to deliver exceptional experiences to HomeAway travelers—as reflected by the attainment of certain standards of quality and performance—will be recognized for their excellence and invited to join the Program, display the Premier Partner badge on all qualified listings, and receive additional  benefits available only to Premier Partners.


Eligibility and Qualification


All partners with a HomeAway account in good standing and at least one active listing on the HomeAway platform will be eligible to participate in the Program.  Qualification for the Program then will be assessed for each eligible partner, and will be based on the attainment of certain quality and performance standards that are critical to the traveler experience.  Partners will be invited to join the Program after meeting or exceeding such standards for at least one of their HomeAway listings; and upon joining the Program, such partners will be entitled to display the Premier-Partner badge and designation on each of their qualified listings.


The purpose of the Premier Partner badge is to identify to travelers those particular properties that have consistently exhibited excellence, and for which the associated partners have demonstrated their commitment to delivering an exceptional traveler experience—from search through stay.  Therefore, a Premier Partner with more than one property listed on the HomeAway platform may attain a badge for one listing but fail to attain it for another.  


Program eligibility requirements and performance standards may be modified from time to time at HomeAway’s discretion, and any such modifications will take effect upon posting at the link above, or as soon thereafter is deemed reasonable notice under applicable law.


Periodic Evaluation


Qualification for Premier Partner status will be evaluated at least once during every relevant review period (but no more frequently than once per quarter).  Newly qualified partners will be invited to join the Program, and current Premier Partners with one or more listings that remain qualified through the review period will retain their “Premier Partner” designations and associated badges on all such qualified listings.


Likewise, after a periodic review, HomeAway may remove the Premier Partner badge and associated designation from any listing that has failed to maintain current Program-qualification standards; and may revoke the Premier Partner status of any partner for whom there are no remaining qualified listings.  In addition, HomeAway may revoke such badging or status at any other time if it should come to HomeAway’s attention that a listing does not meet applicable quality and performance metrics, or if a partner has failed to adhere to these Program terms, the HomeAway Terms and Conditions and associated Privacy Policy applicable to the partner’s region, or the terms of  any listing agreement applicable to such partner (all of the above, “HomeAway Terms”).  Partners for which Premier Partner status has been revoked, either at the account level or for one or more listings, may become eligible to regain the “Premier Partner” designation and associated badges after the next qualification and evaluation period, provided that they remain in good standing and attain all Program-qualification standards applicable at the time of such review.


Premier Partner Designation and Badge


Qualified partners who join the Program and achieve Premier Partner status for one or more listings will automatically receive a “Premier Partner” designation in the display of each of their qualified listings on the HomeAway platform; and each such listing also will be identified with a distinctive badge to further indicate Premier Partner status to travelers and other users of the HomeAway network.  Partners who have attained such status will be entitled to use the term “Premier Partner” and to display the Premier Partner badge on all qualified listings as well as in platform-based communications with travelers. 


To that end, HomeAway grants to each Premier Partner a limited, worldwide, revocable, non-transferrable license to use the “Premier Partner” designation and associated badge solely and exclusively as described above, and only in connection with those listings for which the partner has attained and continues to maintain all applicable quality- and performance-standards.  From time to time, HomeAway may develop and distribute materials to promote the Program to travelers, or may provide to Premier Partners preapproved marketing collateral for use in connection with the Program.  Any and all such materials will be subject to the limited license granted herein, and may be used only as expressly permitted by HomeAway.


Nothing in this section is intended or should be construed to transfer any interest in or to the Premier Partner name, badge, or any other intellectual property of HomeAway or its affiliates, and HomeAway retains all rights, title, and interest in and to the “Premier Partner” name and badge, and all other logos, trademarks, copyrighted materials, and other proprietary information associated with the Program, except as expressly set forth above.  All rights and licenses granted by HomeAway in connection with the Program will be revoked automatically—at the account-level or listing-level, as applicable—upon a loss of Premier Partner status, removal, suspension, or dormancy of a previously qualified listing, termination of the partner relationship, or discontinuation of the Program.




The “Premier Partner” designation and badge recognizes high-achieving partners and highlights their listings to travelers, distinguishing those partners and properties as having demonstrated excellence in categories that matter most to the traveler community.  Additional benefits of the Program include a dedicated customer-support line; early or exclusive access to programs, products, or features (such as the HomeAway Boost Program), participation in new-product testing, and special invitations or discounted admission to HomeAway-sponsored events.




Neither the attainment of Premier Partner status nor the designation with or use of the Premier Partner badge is intended or should be construed as an endorsement by HomeAway of any partner, property, or listing.  Any suggestion of such an endorsement or misuse of the “Premier Partner” title or badge will be deemed a material breach of the Program terms and will subject the partner to exclusion from the Program, removal of any associated listing, or termination of the partner relationship.  Premier Partners who wish to decline participation in the Program should contact HomeAway directly.


Incorporation of HomeAway Terms


The HomeAway Premier Partner Program is subject to and governed by these Program terms as well as the HomeAway Terms (as defined above), including in particular all limitations of liability and indemnity provisions set forth therein; and all HomeAway Terms are hereby incorporated by reference into these Program terms.  Any breach or violation of the HomeAway Terms will be considered a breach of these Program Terms and will subject the partner to exclusion from the Program, removal of any associated listing, or termination of the partner relationship.


Updates to Program Terms


HomeAway may revise or update these Program terms at any time by posting such revised or updated Program terms on this page and on other HomeAway websites, web pages, or applications in which the Program terms appear.  All such revisions and updates will take effect upon posting or as soon thereafter is deemed reasonable notice under applicable law.  Partners who continue to participate in the Program after such revisions or updates have taken effect will be subject to and bound by all new Program terms.  Partners who do not agree to or accept the revised or updated terms should promptly inform HomeAway that they no longer wish to participate in the Program.
