Vrbo unveils new ad campaign all about togetherness
AUSTIN, Texas – Dec. 7, 2020 – Vrbo® today launched a national TV and online video ad campaign voiced by John Legend. The campaign, titled “Your Together Awaits,” caps a year where vacation home stays surged during the pandemic as more families sought the private, whole homes offered on Vrbo. The campaign inspires families, 82% of whom are already planning 2021 travel.
“Vrbo’s mission is to facilitate family togetherness in vacation homes where people can truly connect. We’ve been doing this for 25 years, but this year we saw many new families discover Vrbo’s offering of unique, private vacation homes,” said Lish Kennedy, vice president of global brand for Vrbo. “We built the campaign around those magic moments.”
The campaign is airing across TV (including ABC, NBC, AMC, Bravo and Food Network), Hulu, and Youtube. The videos highlight moments that happen in a Vrbo like a father and daughter fishing, a grandfather playing checkers with his grandson, longtime friends celebrating a wedding, a couple reconnecting after becoming new parents, and the moment a new boyfriend officially becomes a member of the family.
Vrbo’s agency of record, Crispin Porter + Bogusky, created the ad series, and independent, Latina and Black-owned 360 Agency developed and negotiated the creative work with Legend.
