Disgusted

On entering the property it appeared that the property had not been cleaned for a very long time. We found blood on bed sheet and on wall in shower, unmade beds, dirt and food deposits in cupboards and under furniture, smoke detectors removed, no CO2 monitor, booked for 3 nights has had bought tickets for theme parks for 10 of us, only stayed for 2 nights, would have left on entry but was unable to find alternative accommodation over Easter at the time. Basically this property is a health hazard, I have been booking with VRBO for 13 years and have never experienced anything like this previously. I will be contacting VRBO with my concerns

Wonderful Place To Rent!

The house was clean, had an inordinate amount of bathrooms, and the check in process was incredibly easy. We will gladly return in the future.

NIce property but needs to be maintained

The property is great with plenty of room for our family. However, the furniture is not comfortable and a few chairs were broken. The cottage needs a deep, deep clean. The location is amazing!

Highly recommend

This was a rare find to have 4 double bedrooms with ensuites and have the facilities of a self catering property. The lounge/kitchen area was a great space and had enough seating for everyone. The place was very clean and communication with the host was excellent. Highly recommended

Could be an excellent property

Very spacuous property let down by the total lack of maintenance. The property at first glance looks fine. But it soon becones apparent how DIRTY it is. The downstairs bathroom had to be deep cleaned. It had pubic hair in the bath. No bath plug. The furniture was broken and so flimsy it moved if you touched it.

Christmas 2023 in Windsor

The beds were comfortable, it was warm with plenty of hot water for showers etc. Plenty of crockery but the pots and pans need replacing as they are worn. That said everything else worked. Only Internet TV, but was good quality. Easy walk to good Farm shop, Magna Carter Centre along the river with nice Cafe. We had an Excellent Christmas break within 2 hours' drive from where we all live. We would stay again.

Disappointing

The house is poorly maintained: Broken sofa (x2) (causing injury) and broken chairs (backs of chairs), the other sofas are old/well used. The fridge is full of ice at the back, broken shelves and prone to leaking. The curtains in the front bedroom have missing hooks, so gaping holes at the top. The bedding in all rooms are old/mismatched. The wallpaper is peeling off in places and many cracks in the walls have not been repainted. The showers in 2 rooms are in poor condition. Mats/Rugs are filthy. The summer house is incomplete.Two rooms have single beds (not double beds) The house should not be available for rental.

Super practical place to stay with a group

Stayed with my large extended family. This a place is very practical for the bedrooms and bathrooms and how close it is to London, Windsor castle, the highway and Lego land (which we didn’t go to). The living room furniture by the TV isn’t very strong. I see what the idea was with the futons to have extra sleeping space but it’s not great for adults to sit on, which why I give it four stars. WiFi needs to be stronger to be able to cast from your device to the TV. Other than that they give you everything you need to enjoy your stay, which we did. Thanks!

nice stay

The layout of the house was ideal for our family of 10 especially for the children. The area was very nice and very central for Windsor and the garden was safe for the children to play. The property is quite tired inplaces and the kitchen is not equipped for cooking for a large family ( not enough crockery for 10, no saucepans, baking trays etc, had to call on the very kind neighbours to borrow things. This could be very easily sorted as the cupboards need to be cleared out of old stuff that has been left by students. We didnt let this spoil our stay and had a very nice time.

Disappointing

Was disappointed with our stay as 2 of the bedrooms were actually single beds not doubles as advertised leaving 2 guests on sofas with no bedding. Oven smoked, TV didn’t work, only 3 kitchen chairs. Crockery looked old and stained. Floors and sofas were dirty. Host wasn’t interested in feedback and failed to understand or respond appropriately to our concerns.

Very disappointed

When we arrived at the house we noticed how dirty the floors were. Our socks were black just walking around the house. The table was set in a show home style layout but all the dishes were dirty and required washing. All kitchen surfaces were dirty, the kitchen has no utensils for cooking at all, and the cubboards were filled.with junk such as old towels and rags. Minimal glasses to drink from. The bedding was revolving, we found other peoples hair, stains and smelt like they had been slept in. The single bed on ground floor was unuseable as it had a broken base and the mattress smelt of urine. We had no gas to cook with and had to contact the owner who came and turned it on from the mains for us. There was no vacuum or cloths, we ended up purchasing cloths and spent the first day cleaning and changing all the bedding to.make the house useable. Most of the sofas were broken and unusable, the ones that we could use were very hard and uncomfortable. We had a very difficult time relaxing in the house, it was well below anyones standards.
