Prachtig gerestaureerd typisch Algarve Formhouse. Ooit een heerlijke familie thuis, heeft een villa met twee verdiepingen een huiselijke sfeer behouden. Gelegen op een rustige locatie, met een prachtig uitzicht op de omliggende gebieden (Faro, Quarteira, Almancil en de zee), het is rustig en vredig zonder volledig geïsoleerd te zijn. De villa heeft uitstekende faciliteiten en is comfortabel, ruim en ingericht in een authentieke, rustieke stijl. De kamers zijn ingericht naar een hoge standaard en de lounge heeft mooie Franse deuren die leiden naar een aantrekkelijke schaduwrijke omgeving en naar de mooie tuin, goed bemeten zwembad, met een overdekte barbecue en een kinderschommel en een glijbaan in de schaduw van een olijfboom. De badplaatsen Vale do Lobo en Vilamoura liggen op ongeveer 10 meter rijden en maken van deze villa een uitstekende uitvalsbasis voor een grotere groep die voldoende keuze aan activiteiten en ruime accommodatie willen. De villa ligt dicht bij tal van zeer goede restaurants en supermarkten.

Large traditional Portuguese farmhouse, with amazing ocean views, wonderful large swimming pool, and close to beaches, shops, restaurants etc… And the host is super helpful, and responsive with lots of great local suggestions

Perfect villa for a family holiday. In a quiet area but not too far from Vilamoura. Fantastic authentic farmhouse with plenty of space and gorgeous entertainment areas especially the swimmong pool. Would highly recommend for a large family holoday. Jenny was a great host who was always available if you had any questions.

Fantastic stay in Algarve

We had a really good time in the house. With three generations in the family, there were no dull moments and the property met most of the expected challenges.The weather was also on our side, so the pool was frequently in use.There were of course some beauty spots, but they mainly contributed to the authentic feel of the house.(the plumming was in some cases in need of improvement though)On the whole, the week will remain in fond memory of the whole family

Wonderful

The villa, the grounds, the location, the pool - especially the pool - were wonderful. A great place for families to enjoy and chill. We will likely return one year. Would recommend Aquashow water slides within 20 minutes drive. A truly nice place to stay and relax. You will need a car though.

Great family friendly place to enjoy Portugal

We had a wonderful week at Casa da Avo. The home has many places where people can gather to play or relax. The kitchen was nicely appointed with everything you need to prepare your meals. For our family of 8 adults and 4 kids under 8 the property was perfect. The kids could run and explore the large yard, play basketball, swing, swim and play soccer. Then for those rainy moments there is the games room. Shopping is close by and Jenny was very helpful with things to do in the area and arranged for a chef to come and prepare tasty Portuguese meal for us. Nothing but good things to say about our stay.

Super mooi locatie

We zijn in juni een week op deze locatie geweest met 10 volwassen en twee kleinkinderen. Mooie locatie de foto’s op de site liegen er niet om. Veel ruimte geweldig. Helaas weinig van het zwembad kunnen genieten, de verwarmingspomp wat defect. En het water was te koud om er in te gaan. Maar dat weer ons niet van de rest te genieten. Jenny Fijne gastvrouw, goede communicatie. Ze kon ook een goede kok adviseren, die heerlijke Portugese eten voor ons heeft klaar gemaakt. Een aanrader, en zeker niet duur wat er op tafel stond. Met een woord geweldig. We kunnen dit verblijf iedereen aanraden. Wij allen hebben genoten. 1 klein minpuntje lounge zit is wel aan vervanging toe .

Heerlijke locatie. Fijne gastvrouw. VRBO is minder: konden niet eens onze boeking terugvinden in eigen systeem. Gelukkig kwam het dankzij de gastvrouw goed.

Incroyable

Une belle propriété bien entretenue avec une belle histoire. Propriétaire très à l’écoute et disponible en cas de besoin. Mise à part un petit bémol pour la piscine non chauffé pendant notre séjour sinon le reste était parfait. Je recommande fortement emplacement idéal prêt de tout et pas loin de la ville et des centres commerciaux. Sur 10 je met une note de 9,5! Merci encore pour tout Jenny

Vi er en familie på 12 personer 7 voksne og 5 børn, som har haft en fantastisk uge i Jennys dejlige hus.Her var alt, hvad man har behov for.......dejlige værelser med bad til de fleste værelser,veludstyret køkken,og det aller bedste er alle de udendørsfaciliteter......kæmpe lækker pool,grill,lounge,stor græsplæne m.m..gynger m.m. Jenny er sød og imødekommende og vi anbefaler huset på det varmeste. Vi håber selv at komme tilbage❤️

Amazing Week! Amazing Villa! Amazing Host!

Well what can I say, what a week! Jenny was amazing from start to finish. From booking airport transfers and excursions to suggesting restaurants and things to do. The villa is absolutely stunning with everything you could possibly want including a small football pitch, table football, ping pong and a huge pool. The supermarket is just up the road and we hired a car so that we could drive and take advantage of the amazing beaches and golf nearby. Cant reccomend this villa enough, we will definitely be back next year. THANKS JENNY! Glyn

Thank you Jenny for letting us stay at your lovely farmhouse

We had a lovely stay at this beautifully restored farmhouse. There were 10 of us travelling from 3 generations, and the 6 bedrooms and 2 reception rooms gave us plenty of space. The accommodation has so much more character than a typical Algarve villa, and we absolutely loved it there. Outside, the garden and the pool are impeccably kept and there are views to the sea near Vale do Lobo. There was an extra cost for heating the pool but that was well worthwhile for us in early April. The house and garden are very secure with electric gates, a security system and a lovely old safe. The gardener/handyman, Franco, lives within the grounds but is very unobtrusive. Further afield, I was very happy to find that there are lots of countryside walks in the Sitio dos Quartos area and a spur of the Via Algaviana goes near to the house. Almancil and the market town of Loulé are close by, the A22 gives easy access to most of the rest of the Algarve, and Faro Airport and the new Mar Shopping Centre are just a short drive away. All of the above was very good, but the best bit was the owner, Jenny. There did not seem to be any limit to what she would do to help us enjoy our stay, from waiting until late when we arrived, to promptly fixing the WiFi, and to recommending wonderful local restaurants. She even helped me with my Portuguese! So again, thank you very much, Jenny, for letting us stay at your grandmother's house (Casa da Avó) and for helping to make our holiday so enjoyable.

A wonderful place to stay

This restored farmhouse was perfect for our extended family (ages 1 to 64) The location and gardens were beautiful and there was plenty of space for us all to play and relax. Jenny, the owner, was extremely pleasant and helpful which made our stay even better. We would recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from it all but still be in easy driving distance from shops, airport, beaches and other Algarve delights!

Fabulous stay in the Algarve

Casa de Avo is the ideal place for a large family to stay in the Algarve region of Portugal. Situated between Loule and Faro, this hillltop villa provides views of the Atlantic Ocean, full kitchen, patios, grills, and many other amenities. The owners are attentive and multi lingual, making the arrangement perfect.

Casa perfecta

Estuvimos la última semana de junio y todo fue perfecto. Éramos 6 adultos y 7 niños y estuvimos de maravilla. La casa es muy amplia y tiene todo lo necesario. Y el exterior tiene de todo. Los niños no querían salir en todo el día (piscina, fútbol, ping-pong, futbolín...). El jardín está muy cuidado y la zona de la barbacoa es muy agradable. Jenny, la propietaria, fue muy amable en todo momento y nos facilitó información sobre diversas actividades en la zona. La recomiendo absolutamente para grupos numerosos como el nuestro (tres matrimonios con niños). Si alguna vez volvemos de vacaciones al Algarve, volveríamos a elegir esta casa. Sin duda.

6 adults, 4 children and 3 babies were very easily accommodated within this Villa, and Jenny did as much as possible to make our stay more comfortable. She met us on our first night and went through all the information regarding the farmhouse. We had a bit of trouble with the transfers as the sub contracted transfer company couldnt find the villa, but one call to jenny she was en route to collect us. I would recommend hiring a car for your stay as it is a lengthy walk to the shops and local towns. The Villa itself is very beautiful, spacious with ample of room inside and out, large pool, small football pitch, large BBQ area. Would also recommend the water park 10 mins away (Aquashow) highly, we went there twice during our stay. Overall a 5 star villa! Thanks again Jenny.

Stunning, beautiful villa.

My family and I, a group of 10 adults spent two wonderful weeks at this stunning villa. Jenny the owner met us at the airport and showed us the way to the villa and then a guided tour of the villa. Very good and personal service. The villa is 20 minutes from Faro and within easy reach of shops and beaches. Car hire is necessary but driving around is easy. The views were stunning, the pool is big, although the heating (paid extra) wasn't very good and stopped a couple of times so never really heated up, although the heating of the pool is managed by the property company not the owner. Plenty of space to relax and chill out. Outside BBQ, and games areas along with outdoor eating areas. Maid was lovely and came around often to change towels and bedding. Housekeeper lives onsite in a separate house, so any issues can be dealt with immediately. We would highly recommend this villa and would certainly be booking again. Thanks to Jenny and her team for making our stay very enjoyable.
