Could have been amazing
The house the in the best location, but it was really filthy. The cleaners had clearly made minimal effort. The house has also had some water damage and the repairs are a bodge. The plumbing of the house is also dodgy and blocks very easily.
On the plus side, the location is excellent and the size and layout of the house is great.
Pity it was let down by completely preventable and easily fixable things.
Also, the check in is a mission to say the least. It’s like a treasure hunt which is very frustrating when you have luggage with you.
The check-in and check-out process is very inconvenient. When we first got there and followed all of the directions (there are a lot), there was no key in the box. We had to call for assistance and then wait around after a long international flight. Once we received the keys I was asked to bring a pair back but when I tried to, I was unable to get the lock open because the new key code I was provided was not correct. To make a Long story short, there was no customer service. The washing machine was also broken and not fixed during our stay, the toilet was clogged and could have been fixed promptly had there been a plunger on site. I would not recommend this property if you have small children. There are steps that are safety hazards throughout the house. As I understand the property is an apartment and not a hotel, there are not enough towels, there is NO hand soap, and there was not enough toilet paper to last our five night stay. We ran out of toilet paper after the second day. Basic items were not provided and should be.
The location is great! It’s right near the basilica and cute shops and restaurants. I would recommend the location but not the property.
We are sorry that your stay was impacted by the situation in Paris at the time. All transports were on strike, there were continuous protests on the streets and our service process was severely disrupted.
Our check in process is well appreciated by guests, as it normally avoids waiting for a greeter after a long trip, and allows our guests to enter the apt as soon as they arrive - including late at night.
We are sorry that someone from the maintenance company forgot to bring back the key. However, we provided it in less than an hour. When using a greeter, one can often be forced to wait an hour or more sometimes due to the greeter being late due to traffic or some other reason.
Technical problems were solved slower than usual. Paris was on strike and it was difficult to find available technicians and for them to move in the city.
We would gladly host you again in Paris during you next visit and do not hesitate to contact us for a discount.
A Big Mistake!
Wish I would have read "all" the reviews before I booked. Tried to cancel within 24 hours but was informed of the "NO Refund" policy.
There are so many issues with this property.
The check-in/check-out "key-hunt"; I love a good adventure/ puzzle as much as the next person, but not when my family is exhausted and just wanting to get into the house, and definitely not first thing in the morning when we are scrambling around trying to catch our flight.
After arriving you need to walk (or have cab/uber take you) to another location to get the key and then get back to the house (reverse on check-out). Now as the Mgr. will tell you the location is only something like 250 meters away, and while that may not sound like a lot, it is all hills and windy one way streets to get there (cabs/ uber drivers will not be happy). Once you do find the location and put in a code (based on a date formula), it is then 3 flights of winding/steep stairs to get to an area that is pitch black (depending on time), where you have to put in another code behind a panel to unlock your keys...then it's back up the hill to the house (about a 10 minute walk- once you know the way). Again, if I was well rested and I was up for an adventure, maybe I would enjoy the challenge, but no one wants that extra layer of stress on check-in/ check-out. All of the other properties (we stayed at), we could either p/u- leave the keys under a mat, or in a drop-box "on site" or have someone meet us to show us around...what a concept?!
Let's be honest, the only person this ridiculous system is convenient for is the Mgr. of the property who has to do absolutely nothing! Which is I'm sure the way they like it IMO.
2) There were spiders and cobwebs all over the house as well as bad peeling of paint in many of the rooms. It looked as though there have been no updates/renovations since the 1990s.
3) Not so much as a ten cent (mini) bar of soap to wash your hands when you arrive, let alone any other "basic" amenities. The only things that were there were things left over that were likely bought from the former renter (Laundry soap, etc..). Just like we did, after we had to buy "everything".
Also only 2 wastebaskets for the entire property and only in one bathroom. No wastebasket in the other 2 bathrooms! Seriously?
4) "0" communication from property Mgr. to see if we made it our any questions.
Only positives, nice location outside the city in Montmartre and good size for family.

We understand that the self check in /out process was not at your liking. This is definitely a point of view that we respect.
Many of our guests like the process for 2 simple reasons : they never have to wait for the greeter and can check in or out at any time during the night.
Family generally send one member to pick up the key while the party is waiting in front of the Musee Montmartre. There is actually a nice bar inside.
We will add the recommendation to our instructions hoping it will ease the experience.
You may have noticed that we recommend our guest to call on arrival in case they have questions or issues. We would have been happy to send a maid and help you with any issue in the apt.
To build on your comment, we have asked the cleaning team to double clean possible mobs ( the ceilings are very high) and the maintenance to add the missing wastebaskets.

Lovely place in a great area of the city
This place is very comfortable and the listing is very accurate. Best French onion soup at Le Deli...house wine was my favorite. The house has instructions for everything.

5th and final stay at this property - will not book again
My company has booked this property multiple times as we travel to Paris twice a year for business. We returned many times due to the lovely location and number of bedrooms and bathrooms for the price, however the upkeep of this property has declined greatly and we will not return.
Main areas of concern :
- 1 set of keys - for a house that accommodates 6 adults, this is very inconvenient. We were a team of 4 and not always together so coordinating the key was not ideal. Also having the pickup/dropoff location for the key offsite is very inconvenient
- Only 1 towel/ handtowel was provided per guest. When we requested more we were told "this is not a hotel" and we could do laundry if we wanted fresh towels.
- Washing and drying a load of laundry took upwards of 3 hours as the dryer is VERY slow. We had to buy our own detergent - we only later found a small travel size container that was originally used for fashwash marked with a sharpie labeled "laundry" Assuming this is the soap they rationed to allow us to use.
- No bathmats in the tiled bathroom - I think this is a necessity as the tiles are very slippery when wet. We had to use the face towels provided.
- only 1 garbage bin is provided for the entire 3 story house. None in any bathroom or bedroom.
- No soap provided to run the dishwasher
- Main window in the kitchen does not open as the latch is broken so there is no natural light in the dining/kitchen area as the photos show
- Many appliances did not work - hair dryers, television, cable to connect device to speakers to play music.
- coffee maker, toaster etc are not "top notch" as the listing says. They are dated and should be replaced
- the location is not convenient for calling ride share cars such as Uber. They have to travel through the busy tourist area and will often cancel the ride to avoid this.

You have stayed a few times in this apt and wrote very positive reviews. The apt is in the same conditions as for previous and we were surprised to hear these comments.
Maybe somebody in your party is more demanding or more used to stay in 5 stars hotels than renting apts. To us, most of the comments are related to “hotel like” service wishes.
Actually, we can provide extra service on request. Unfortunately you did not contact us during your stay.
Let me detail :
The keysafe location is only 450 meters away from the apt. This system is mainly praised by our guests as it allows them to check in or out whenever they want including in the middle of the night. It also allows to avoid waiting for a late greeter or to miss an appointment because of a delayed flight for example. It was the same system for your previous stay.
Why didn’t you ask us for a second set of keys ? We always provide it when asked for. It could have been very easily solved.
We understand you came for the fashion week and would have liked to get the same service as in a hotel. This is an apt rental and contrarily to hotels, once they get in the apt our guests live as if they were at home. Which means they wash their towels, buy consumables and so on. We obviously provide the basics to helps for arrival but some of our guests stay for weeks or even months and logistic would be impossible to manage except by increasing drastically the price…as in a hotel.
As a side note, all washers in Europe take a longer time for a cycle than in the US as they use less water for ecological reasons. We are used to make them run when leaving for the day.
For the appliances, they work. If you encountered problem to use them, you could have contacted us and we would have sent a technician to repair or change if needed. We are very reactive.
The apt location is beautiful and in one of the quietest and most beautiful part of Montmartre. We do not know for Uber drivers but no regular cab would ever had cancelled the trip. No other guest ever complained about this Uber issue.
It seems that most of the points you noted could have been solved if you had informed us. We are always happy to offer extra service and are organized to. Please ask us next time. If you detail the price per night you paid for such an apt, you will certainly agree that it is hard to beat.

Gute Lage aber renovierungsbedürftig...
Wir haben 5 Übernachtungen gebucht. Die Lage ist toll. Leider mussten wir feststellen, dass das Haus sehr renovierungsbedürftig ist : Farbe im Badezimmer blättert ab, Feuchtigkeitsprobleme an Wänden wurden notdürftig überdeckt, kein Licht im Schlafzimmer (Nachttischlampen mit verkohlten Kabeln - Sicherheitsrisiko)... Alte Kopfkissen müssten dringend ersetzt werden, es fehlen Abfalleimer in den Toiletten, Besteck ist nicht sauber, CD-Player ist defekt (auch als solcher gekennzeichnet-warum nicht ersetzt ?) und wir haben Augentropfen und Prospekte vom Vormieter unter einem Nachttisch gefunden (Gründlichkeit der Endreinigung ?)...
Es ist dringend notwendig, die oben genannten Punkte zu beheben. Im aktuellen Zustand stimmt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht. Daher können wir diese Unterkunft auch nicht weiterempfehlen. Schade eigentlich bei dieser tollen Lage...
