The place is outdated and small, but fit a lot of beds to accommodate a bigger family and kitchen was pretty stocked for cooking meals. No master suite. Could have been cleaner- crumbs on top of sheets and counters, cobwebs in corners. Deck furniture ripped so couldn’t sit out there with coffee. It’s close to restaurants, grocery store, gas station, business 54 and strip, but the strip is totally run down and not much to do there with kids. We were booked for 3 nights and only stayed 1. We rented this place bc of the private dock for swimming/fishing. When we arrived you could instantly tell the dock was not in the best shape. The front corner was almost touching the water due to missing dock float. Bigger waves would crash over the top of it. We were told it probably happened during storms 6 weeks prior, so shocked no previous renters had said anything. The poles supporting the roof had been re-welded due to rusting and the welding was starting to come undone. We definitely did not feel safe on the dock, especially with it being on the main channel constantly getting hit by waves, it felt like it could sink or collapse at any point. Fortunately, Donna, the property manager, was a saint and when I expressed my concerns about the dock, she quickly found us another property to move to, no questions asked. She was super responsive and helpful, the best!!! Thank you Donna for all your help!!!!!!!!

The property is accurately described in the listing as an older, traditional lake home with multiple sleeping areas rather than a master suite. Many families choose it specifically because it offers a high bed count and a fully stocked kitchen, which you noted worked well for your group. Regarding cleanliness, this is something we take seriously. Our team follows a detailed cleaning checklist between every stay including the bed sheets are washed and freshly put on beds each clean so I cannot explain crumbs but this has already been addressed directly with our housekeeping staff to ensure cleaning is thorough. As for the dock, the recent storm damage was unexpected and had not been reported by prior guests. The moment your concerns were brought to our attention, we acted immediately. The dock was evaluated, repairs were scheduled, and Donna—who we agree is exceptional—relocated you without hesitation to ensure your family’s comfort and safety. We appreciate you recognizing her responsiveness. We understand that the nearby strip has changed over the years, but fortunately the home remains close to restaurants, grocery stores, and lake activities that many guests enjoy. Your feedback helps us continue improving the property, and we’re glad our team was able to resolve the situation quickly.

Cute and cozy quiet spot

Had a wonderful time. The house has a great dock where kids can jump off from and swim. Nice clean grill too. Very quiet location with not a lot of thru traffic, so if your goal is to be in a busy area with lots of boat-watching, you might want a different area. The views are great from the house, the water is calm due to low water traffic, but the little road to get you down to the house and back up is somewhat riddled with potholes and is very steep. Location is 0.5 mile (pretty physical!) walk to the little downtown area where there is food, candy, and entertainment. The house itself is a little outdated and appears that the wooden flooring is settling so sits at a slight slope, so the door to the master bedroom never closed entirely, which was annoying because my husband had to take a few early morning calls from the dining table which was right out front of the master BR. The floors are also very squeaky and noisy, so sleeping in was tough especially with 2 younger kids who get up early and want to run around. But overall we had a great stay and I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to stay close to mile marker 1 and Bagnell Dam!

Location !

Location was amazing but no extra nothing !The smell as you walk in is not inviting smells like mildew!!The air conditioning sometimes works thank god it was not too hot.

Hi Jesenia, we are sorry you were not happy with the home. I am not sure as to why the home seemed to smell like mildew as it is professionally cleaned after every rental basically every 3-4 days during peak season. I know our cleaning company uses beach water for cleaning, but perhaps being so close to the lake and during your stay we did have quite a bit of rain that could have been causing a smell. Not sure but with it having a basement crawl space area we can put a dehumidifier there so that might also help. The air conditioning unit is a brand new unit and it is usually very very cool but most definitely we will check it out. Thank you Jesenia. Donna

Lake Trip

The property was very clean and amazing great location for what we had planned! The property had everything you could ask for plenty of towels and kitchen utensils and also lots of seating outside on the several decks that were offered ! The dock was great for swimming and I’m sure great fishing also but we didn’t go to fish ! Overall we would definitely recommend going we are already planning for next year !!!

Yes the neighborhood is an older neighborhood of the lake, roads aren't bad but like so many of the older neighborhoods here at the lake there can be hills and sharp turns, fortunately for this property there is just the one sharp turn going down the hill but not too bad. You are so correct, parking can be tight, but will accommodate 2 full size suv's, a pickup and another vehicle, or even 3 smaller vehicles might work. Long weekend getaway

We really enjoyed this property! Everything was as stated in the listing. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The multiple outdoor areas were so nice to sit and enjoy the lake. It was too cold to get in the water, but the dock would work great for that purpose with a nice ladder that could be used to get into and out of the water. This location is close to the Bagnell Dam area as well.

Excellent accommodations

Property was easy to find and the property was well maintained and very comfortable.I will book this again since I went off season so the weather didn’t cooperate and rained. Beautiful property with plenty of outdoor space and well maintained dock for fishing or swimming.

Property worked out perfect for us. 10 minutes from several nice golf courses and restaurants. We liked the off season feel of lake Ozark. I'm not sure I'd like primetime summer.... probably way too busy for us! But if that's what you like....

Our stay

House was nice and clean. Veiw was really nice. Donna was very helpful and friendly on the phone. Will definitely be back in the future.

Great views

It rained almost everyday that we were there but it was still nice to be able to sit in the living room and watch the lake
