Charming apartment in terrific neighborhood
The apartment, which is in a charming 19th century building, has been attractively renovated (beautiful bathroom with separate WC) and nicely decorated. Plenty of natural light from tall windows. Updated kitchen. It’s a second-floor walk-up (U.S. style; French would consider it a first-floor walk-up). It is not handicapped accessible. The neighborhood is lively with lots of terrific cafes and restaurants. Historically, the Croix-Rousse neighborhood was home to Lyon’s silk weaving industry. Wonderful daily farmers’ market a block away (at least in the summertime). Easy access to metro and bus lines. Leasing company was a pleasure to deal with by email and phone (though their physical office was a bit hard to find when picking up keys). All in all, a fantastic apartment in a fantastic place!
Thank you for sharing your experience. We are delighted that you enjoyed so much the place and location :) Our apologies for the tricky part to access our agency. We will do our best to have better explanations in the future ^^
We hope to see you again in Lyon :D
Perfect for single traveler or a couple
Awesome neighborhood, very nicely furnished, airy and fresh and a great mix of old and new. All the pots pans and kitchen stuff you need. The bathroom with the shower is large and modern by French standards. Very nice. Unfortunately, the toilet is in a separate room with no sink, i.e. no where to wash your hands. You need to go to the kitchen to do that. This was typical in France and other parts of Europe when I was younger but it really is unhygienic, and, well, gross. I also had to go the booking office to pick-up my keys. I'm usually met at the location. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend this place. Super charming.
