Beautiful villa
This is a luxurious and spacious villa, and is well-equipped with breath-taking views.
We loved the location. We were sometimes aware of the nearby goats but loved being on the edge of a Cypriot village, with its nearby shops and restaurants.
We haven’t rated the villa as 5 stars because it was let down by some finer details.
We understood why the missing pool tiles hadn’t been fixed butthe standard of pool cleaning was disappointing with a token sweep round the edges, a surface skim and chemical granules thrown in, which sat in the pool for several days. There was muck at the bottom, and on the steps, which wasn’t addressed.
Generally, the standard of cleaning in the villa wasn’t great with crumbs in cupboards and a huge build-up of ice in the fridge, which we defrosted as it was taking-up space. Whilst we do appreciate being left salt, pepper, oil, spices etc, finding rock-hard open packs of cereals isn’t ideal!
My son had the main bedroom and was less impressed than us due to issues opening and/or locking his outer doors and difficulty controlling his shower temperature.
I contacted Rob after arrival as we had no hot water (boiler accidently turned-off by cleaner) and to report a few minor issues. These were dealt with promptly by Mike the next day.
Although listed, there wasn’t a working DVD player. Not a big issue, but I wouldn’t have taken 10 DVDs had I known beforehand!
The bottom line is whether we would stay in this villa again and that would be a resounding “yes”.
