We were a group of friends and had plenty of room for us all; had a great little courtyard and was super clean and tidy. Would recommend!!

Terrible. If you are planning on staying here make sure you follow the endless list of rules and don't try to help out. Both bathrooms had there own set of issues, the ensuite tiles around the drain in the shower are rough and cut my wife's foot. The tiles in the main bathroom cause the water to run out of the shower and into the centre of the bathroom. We had to have a towel on the floor the whole time and had to get dressed out of the bathroom. There were weeds in the outdoor area. The outdoor table is weathered and has alot of splinters. We got charged for removing the linen (thinking it was the right thing to do) because they don't wash the mattress protectors and we removed the mattress protector. I hope the people that stayed there before us were clean people after finding out it wasn't cleaned. We cleaned the rooms, placed all towels in the basket, removed all sheets, watered the plant but got accused of not wiping the bench top and table which my wife did. I should of trusted the review I read before booking, seems like they will find any excuse possible to charge extra.
Both bathrooms in this property have been recently renovated and so this issue of the water running out from the shower in the main bathroom has only just been discovered and the owners have not had a chance to rectify it yet. There is no issue if you dont blast the water at full pressure. With the shower on a lower pressure it is fine. Also, I have not been able to find where there are "sharp" tiles. If someone has cut their foot in the bathroom, it was just an unfortunate accident and we are sorry this has happened.
Also the ghastly weeds outside have since been removed. They will not bother anyone anymore. It just happened that Gaetano stayed at a time where we had a lot of rain and a lot of sunny days and so weeds had recently shot up in the yard and we hadn't time to sort it at the time of his stay.
Furthermore, this guest did not alert me to any issues or dissatisfaction during his stay. It was only after his stay and he was charged a mere $15 for excess linen cleaning, did he become unhappy.
This house is always thoroughly and extensively cleaned between guests. Mattress protectors are washed every couple of months or as needed before this. And all sheets, fitted and flat, and bed covers are clean and fresh for new guests. Many guests are happy and have loved their stay at Saltbush Retreat. Many satisfied guests have left their nice comments in our guest book and on our other booking site we use.
Although the house and position was fantastic and suited our needs and we expressed such in the visitors book our experience turned sour when the manager docked us money from our deposit claiming that we had left furniture out of place. As we had moved the furniture very little and had restored the furniture from where it had been moved from we asked the manager for more details and we were told about some items of furniture that were not exactly in the place that the manager claimed and we realised that what was being claimed were movements in cms but metres. The manager must have taken a photo of every room to be able to establish this as this was highly unreasonable we wondered at first that this was scam but then realised it was more likely to be due to offence taking to what we thought was a polite note left by us to let the manager know of some things that needed repair. These were a missing light bulb in the courtyard ( hence we had to use a portable light and move the alfresco dining table closer to the lounge room light), the anchor bolts in the main bathroom toilet had come loose in crumbling mortar, a cracked baking dish and the drier often didn’t heat up. We were not unhappy with these things, only by the way we were consequently treated even though we left the property clean and tidy as per house rules. D&L H
I am sorry you are unhappy with this decision, but as the manager and a very neutral judge in these matters, I find my decision very fair. After all, you were only charged a small excess cleaning fee of $15 for many things being moved around the house and then not returned. Mainly the outdoor dining table, which is an enormous, solid and very heavy structure, I would not have been able to move on my own. It was only very lucky that I was able to get someone to help me move it back into position. On a normal day cleaning there, I would have been unable to do so. There were also other things like lamps being moved around to different rooms and so fourth. The terms and conditions of the property, which you could find in the house information folder, state, if you move items of furniture, to please put them back as you found them and failure to do so could result in excess cleaning charges.
As for the outside light, I am sorry about that, the owner has informed me that they've had an electrician look at it but he was unable to figure out what was wrong. They are looking to rectify that in the future.
