Uma ótima casa de férias

Tivemos uma excelente estadia na Casa Jolie. Espaçosa, bem equipada, muito limpa e com tudo o necessário para umas férias despreocupadas e relaxantes. Bela piscina num espaço muito atraente e com todo o equipamento de apoio para desfrutar de ótimas horas de lazer. Ficámos com excelentes recordações da Casa Jolie e com vontade de repetir a experiência no futuro.

Férias magníficas na villa Jolie

A casa é muito agradável e estava tudo impecavelmente preparado para nós. O espaço ao ar livre é óptimo e a piscina apesar de não ser muito grande é suficiente para se disfrutar de um banho relaxante quando as condições climatéricas não permitem estar na praia. Apenas dois pontos negativos: um dos quartos fica ao lado do sistema de aquecimento da água da piscina e faz muito barulho o que não permitiu o descanso noturno de uma das minhas filhas, que não quiz mudar de quarto por o outro quarto disponível ser interior sem janela. Além disso fiquei decepcionada porque quando marquei as férias no site permitia a presença de animais de estimação, mas depois fui informada que não seria possível. No final a experiência de férias foi muito boa e lagos é um local muito bonito que merece ser visitado.

Villa was nicely presented and fully equipped. The garage bedroom was a bit bleak and cleverly disguised on the photos. The location was a bit more built up than expected and there was a building site hindering cut through access to the beach. However there was a corner shop very close for essentials and it was still walkable distance to the beach, Marina and town, although we tended to Uber it home to avoid the hill! We had an amazing day on the Nautigirl boat trip looking at the beautiful coast line and being entertained by Max and Pete. We did hire cars which allowed us to go further afield as well to explore more of the area. Overall a very enjoyable stay. Thank you.

A great property that suited our 2 families very well. Well equipped and very clean, pool was even cleaned during our stay. 10 min walk to Marina, 15 min into main town. A close basic amenities shop & excellent coffee shop (Everyday People coffee )near. The walk up the hill back to property may not be for everyone. Excellent communication with property manager.

Beautiful Villa! Enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Only issue was, we were unaware there was no air conditioning in two bottom floor bedrooms but management quickly responded with the delivery of fan and an extra hair dryer.

Lovely villa - for six people

A very nice house with a lovely patio and pool. Easy access on foot (up and down hills) to the marina and beach, once you've worked out the routes. The converted garage really is just a large garage with beds in it, though, and with no natural air, so it's best to think of the house as three bedroom only. Lots of kitchen equipment, barbecue, washing and ironing facilities etc - only the operation of the TV proved beyond us.

Great location for access to beaches, marina, supermarket and restaurants and bars. (All within 10-15 minute walk). The house is spacious, well equipped with a good sized pool. For large families using the downstairs bedrooms, the lack of air conditioning in these rooms is something to be aware of if temperatures were really high. This however didn’t cause us any concern during our trip. Recommend visiting the old town and also if you get a chance have Chris take you out on a boat trip. Plenty of taxi’s and access to Uber if required.

Great property as advertised.

We had an excellent stay at Casa Jolie in the third week of October. Location is close to beach, marina, and amenities. We were met by property manager who walked us through the property and how to use various appliances and electronics. The supermarket is walking distance. Lagos itself offers plenty of restaurants, beaches and site-seeing. We walked everywhere and felt quite comfortable and safe. Take good walking shoes as there are hills and you will want to walk to enjoy the town. If you are just going to the beach, flip-flops/sandals are fine. Chris provided an information package on the immediate area and some overhead maps which were all very helpful. We were a party of four adults and there was plenty of space. Had a wondeful time. Thanks.

Villa Casa May - excellent

We stayed in Villa Casa May. It was clean and spacious with excellent facilities. Pool was a good size for a villa. Small supermarket 5 min walk, marina and large supermarket 10-15 min walk. Taxis home as up hill between 5 &6 Euro. We were 5 ladies (50-58) and this was our first villa holiday, would definitely do it again. Car not necessary taxis will come and pick you up from villa too. Good local taxi service. Would recommend this villa for families or group of friends.

Great family holiday property and location

From start to finish the experience of booking to the arrival and throughout our stay could not have been better. Chris the owner looks after you in every way. The villa is really perfect and is in an ideal location. It's much better than the photos suggest!

Casa Jolie.

The whole family had a wonderful time at "Casa Jolie". All 4 of the transfers went smoothly and being able to have the shopping delivered to the villa was very helpful. There was 7 of us and the accommodation was perfect, very clean, spacious and private. We really enjoyed the location being not too far from the local beach one way and a walk into the town the other way.  The canoeing around the bays was beautiful. (By the way Chris, that new restaurant Agridoce we were both dining at on Friday is excellent - best tomahawk steak ever!). We look forward to returning one day.

Splendid property in ideal location

The property is well equipped and the pool just right for bathing and keeping cool day and evening. There is a fabulous fish market in Lagos a 15minute walk or 2minute drive away so we bought fresh fish most days and cooked on the BBQ. Also had some delicious meals eating out as there is a good selection of quality restaurants. The local beech is a 10-15minute walk away or again 2minute drive if you have a car. The beech is as you would expect, golden sand with a clear sea with good waves warm enough to swim and spend time in. Also some water sports you can buy and some shacks selling sunbeds and drinks. All in all a great holiday - will certainly miss the evenings being in the pool drinking wine !

home from home with wow factor

The property was extremelly clean and every bit of luxury but also very funtional it was home from home. The customer service was more than 10 out of 10 it was over and above, it is very close to all ameneties but also quiet at night time. Only advice i would give if you have children under 5 take a buggy as there is a hill you have to go up and down a lot. The lagos harbour is great for eating out and drinking and only 20 minutes walk. This was a great family holiday and one we wont forget thanks to the great apartment and customer service

Casa Jolie, Lagos.

Recently returned from spending two weeks in the sun at the fabulous 'Casa Jolie' and what a great place to spend a holiday. On arrival, the first impression is that a good deal of consideration has gone into choosing this property, the location is great, in a quiet cul-de-sac, a short (10 minutes) walk from the marina or the beach. The villa is modern, spacious, spotlessly clean and very well equipped for self catering. We like to spend as much time eating out as in so this was perfect for our needs and the provided barbeque made a great addition to eating al fresco. The marina has plenty of bars and resturants to choose from and there are even more in the town itself, just another five minutes walk along the beautiful promenade. We particularly liked Millenium Jardim which is in town just up the hill (South) from the square. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend 'Casa Jolie' and Lagos, what a fabulous combination, also Chris Bradfield who has been a pleasure to deal with, very friendly and helpful. Finally, I ought to mention the outstanding information pack provided which contains very clear and concise instructions on travelling to the villa.

Our holiday in 'Casa Jolie'.

From the day I contacted Chris regarding the villa 'Casa Jolie' every detail regarding planning my holiday stay was dealt with so professionally. My partner and I and my four teenagers had a fantastic two week holiday in June. The villa is superbly presented with every mod con available to you. It is within walking distance of the beautiful marina, the town and beaches. Thank you Chris for a wonderful holiday in your fab villa.

Casa Jolie - Lagos, Algarve

Having recently returned from Casa Jolie I had to write to express my feelings. It was like home from home, the Villa had a very modern fully equipped kitchen complete with fan oven, electric hob, microwave, dishwasher & washing machine. The lounge area was spacious with satellite TV and DVD and the bedrooms were very well planned with plenty of storage space for clothes. As well as the pool the outside area had eight sunloungers on a large terrace and a table and umbrella for those 'Al Fresco' lunches. The villa is ideally placed for strolls into town, the marina and local beaches, none of which are more than 10 minutes away. Favourite restaurant was Linda's on the beach, it is a MUST, however, if you do intend to dine in the evening make sure you book first as it is a very popular place to be seen and the views are heavenly, you really could be in the Carribbean. The owner and his management team were second to none and nothing was too much trouble for any of them. I found them helpful, friendly and very accommodating.

The Villa is beautiful and in a great location

Hi Chris, we had a great time at Casa Jolie. The villa is absolutely beautiful, definitely 5* which includes the fantastic location being walking distance from Lagos Marina, beach & town. We were there in April 2010 and had a mix of weather yet when the sun was shining it was very hot, we did have some rain but it certainly didn’t spoil our holiday there was always plenty to do and see even though we didn’t have a car. The heated pool was pure luxury; the terrace is large with a pretty garden area with an abundance of flowers. It was nice to have very comfortable garden furniture and there was everything you could possibly need including a very easy to use electric BBQ, which we made good use of. There villa itself is beautiful, very clean and particularly well equipped to the highest of standards, we were very well catered for. We loved the location of the villa and wandered to the Marina for breakfast or lunch most days then often went into Lagos town in the evenings where there are many quaint restaurant, shops and bars, loads of choice. There was also a very convenient little supermarket and two lovely cafes literally 2 minutes from the villa, perfect! The icing on the cake! We were stranded in Portugal 3 extra days due to the airways crisis, when flights were suspended due to the volcanic eruption in Iceland. It could have been a very stressful time for us yet Chris was great, he contacted us immediately to allay any concerns we had about accommodation and allowed us to stay in the villa until we could get flights home. I am very pleased to say Chris definitely DID NOT use the crisis to his personal gain as many other were doing, as he only asked us to cover his own costs for electricity. Chris, you’ve proved there are still nice people out there, you are a kind genuine lovely guy, your villa is beautiful and its location excellent. Lagos is one of my favourite places and I will definitely go back and would confidently recommend the villa to anyone. Thanks for a great holiday, Paula (North East England)

New Year at

We have recently returned from our third visit to Casa Jolie, this time having spent New Year there (we normally go in summer). As ever the villa was spotlessly clean and all facilities were up to their usual high standard. Six people shared the villa this time and we found it to be spacious, comfortable and welcoming. We like to split our time between eating in and at local restaurants. The villa facilities are excellent for the former and the location is excellent for the latter. The Marina at Lagos, 10 minutes down hill walk away, offers a variety of small shops and a wider variety of eating places from snack bars to fine dining. The centre of Lagos is a further 5 minutes away and is an attractive walk along the promenade. Here we found a great variety of eateries and an eclectic mix of shopping opportunites. The area is served, for self caterers, by five supermarkets, all of which feature local produce heavily, the piece de resistance being the fish market (which also sells locally produced fruit and veg) which is open most days. We spent time walking on the beach, and of course had to have a beverage stop at Linda's on the beach and a splendid meal as well. Although it was New Year we spent time in the pool at the villa, heated of course, a great asset to use at anytime. We also visited Praia da Luz, although the weather wasn't too kind that day. Most days we would venture down into Lagos in the morning to have a coffee at one of the many cafes, although Bruno's Ice cream parlour was a bit of a favourite, especially with the children. Lagos is one of our favourite places to while away a peaceful holiday, but with enough to occupy children also. The people, many of whom speak english, are charming and very friendly and the ambience is very special. Casa Jolie is ideally located for a stay in Lagos and provides all the necessary facilities to ensure a most pleasurable experience. You will want to go back - just as we always do!
