Excellent apartment in Vilamoura, Portugal
Sue's apartment is very comfortable and furnished to a high standard, especially the bathroom, which has a very good shower and long bath. The only slight downsides would be the size of the 2nd bedroom, which is fine for 2 small children, but would be small for adults. It has a lovely outlook onto trees and shrubs as it's on the ground floor. However, that brings with it the only other small drawback - being directly by the main door for the building means that you hear the door opening and closing for all your neighbours. The situation of the apartment is excellent and benefits from 2 nearby cafes/bars and a good restaurant in walking distance.

Brilliant apartment in a great location
Had an amazing week here. The property is so well kitted out and definitely the nicest apartment on the block. I was a little skeptical so about the George foreman for a BBQ but it’s perfect! No mess, cook outside, bbq taste, easy to clean. We found the Jafers supermarket the best. It’s about a ten minute walk towards the marina and the in-house meat counter is great for BBQ supplies. Really beautiful apartment, pool area and quiet surroundings. The wee cafe next door (Alfredo’s) is great and very reasonable. The marina is beautiful too - about a 20 minute gentle walk. We ate there a couple of times - once in a Chinese (forget the name of it but it had glass bubble things in the window) - food was amazing even if the waiter was a bit grumpy. The other side of the marina (turn right when you arrive) has a bigger selection of bars and restaurants and more reasonably priced. Overall we loved our week here - I think we will be back 😀�

the staying was very enjoyable and everything was as expected. We are very disappointed in regards to walking to the Marina. It is definitely not at walking distance, but rather over 50 minutes walking - completely different than what appears on the website.

Happy you liked the apartment and so sorry you found the walk to the Marina hard.
It is, as my ad. says, less than 2 kilometres across flat ground. I measured it at 1 mile (old "money")
I remember you enquired about hiring a wheelchair, so I imagine you may have found the walk relatively difficult. How long it takes will depend on how enthusiastic a walker you are, which is why I specify the distance in my ad.
In contrast, feedback from other guests has been favourable in this respect.
Please remember taxi's are readily available for about 4 euros if you prefer not to walk. I provide the number of several local companies in the information pack and there is always Uber ! so should you choose to return, I will ensure that you have a good direct route through and the taxi contact numbers to help you.
