          Clean, quiet, good location

Basement 2-bedroom apartment had walk-in sliding glass door with no steps. Private entrance. Great family neighborhood. Safe for walking. 10 to 15 drive in any direction to shopping and restaurants. 30 minutes to many Calgary attractions. Hour-and-a-half to Banff. Great TV and wifi access. I would definitely recommend.

Oasis in the suburbs North West Calgary

We were two retired couples in Calgary for a family wedding that was within walking distance of this rental, and we stayed for 4 nights. It worked out really well for us and I would highly recommend it for people in similar circumstances. The bedrooms are well separated and have comfortable queen beds in both. The back bedroom has a low ceiling but my husband who is 6 feet tall had no problems with it. The bed there does not have side tables on both sides and the space is a little cramped but that is trumped by the privacy of it as it is separated from the main space by two doors. One person in the other room said she could hear some minor snoring from us in her bedroom but we found the room extremely quiet. Enjoyed the ensuite bathroom. The other bedroom is off the main area and is bigger with two night tables. The main bathroom is also off the main area and has double sinks, the laundry (which we did not use) and then through another door the toilet, shower and infrared sauna. In the main living area is the leather furniture - I really enjoyed the recliner love seat. Our niece slept on the pull out couch and said it was also comfortable. The main area also has a great TV and stereo system and a wine fridge. The kitchen would present a challenge for renters who want to cook frequent regular meals but was perfectly adequate for us as we ate out most of the time. There is no stove and no dishwasher. There are two induction elements under a fan, a toaster oven and a microwave. The table is small with stools. There are chairs for 4 outside and the host offered to set up a fire for us but we did not take advantage of that. Our host Simon was very attentive. Check in was smooth and all our concerns were addressed promptly. The unit is clean and well appointed. It is in a very quiet neighbourhood and anyone wanting to party should look elsewhere. The two young boys could be heard upstairs during the day but that was not a problem for us and things were quiet at night. There are some very good restaurants within walking distance. Liquor store is close. I recommend the East Indian restaurant behind the gas station. We walked to Nose Hill and had a great hike there. Overall we enjoyed our stay immensely.
