Incredible trip! Survived Hurricane Irma because of Ann and Albion at Bluebitch St John!

5 of 5
After 5 delightful days, Hurricane Irma directly hit St John. This storm's fury decimated the island- with few exceptions, it suffered near total devastation. But Bluebitch St John is the manifestation of the love and dedication of Ann and Albion. Made by their skilled and loving hands, this home SAVED OUR LIVES. In the aftermath, we all worked together to clear rubble-nearly everything other than the 1 foot thick bluebitch stone walls and blue roof was lost- except our lives. The people of St. John are amazingly resilient. With time and hard work, they will one day rebuild. Because of Bluebitch St John , I have my life and new lifelong friends- The "things" were ALL gone within hours- yet caring, companionship, memories, and fortitude are immeasurably constant. Unable to leave the island for almost a week after Irma, we all worked to begin to nurture the wounds of Bluebitch Saint John. When we were finally able to hastily depart on a refugee boat to Puerto Rico, it was painful to leave. During our 12 days on St John, we not only swam with turtles, snorkelled, and visited the delightful and historic sites- we had a shared tragedy that brought all together as one on the island. After Irma, we shared relief, hugs, tears... then water and food - and a glimmer of hope. Please remember St John , all of the US Virgin Islands and all the islands affected in the Caribbean in your prayers and in your future plans. They are rebuilding their lives- but we all need to help. They have shared their beautiful island with visitors for many, many years- it is time for us to share our gratitude and certainly our time and assets to help them. May God Bless Bluebitch St John's family and the people of the islands.

Absolutely Perfect!

5 of 5
We loved every minute of our stay on St. John at Bombalassy! View is breathtaking and the villa and pool are fabulous. Very clean and just the perfect size for 2 couples! Curtis is the best and so easy to work with! We had a wonderful day on a private charter on his boat! Couldn't have asked for anything better! He took care of our Jeep rental also! We had a neighbor's cat come visit us everyday twice a day! We fed her and enjoyed her a lot. We also had a visit from Curtis' dog Kobe one day!
