              Recent The Royal Islander Reviews

              Royal Islander in Cancun

              5 of 5
Loved the facility, very comfortable and clean. Great restaurants and bar, amazing pool side service. Beach was beautiful and well maintained. Shuttle service was a perk to go to the other facilities. I would skip the sales pitch if you are truely not interested it was a waste of a morning. The discounts that were offered were not enough to offset the time away from the resort. Even though you get a breakfast (skimpy) and a tour of nice rooms- big waste of time.

Very nice vacation stay - great value for money

              4 of 5
Nice resort, great facilities indoors. We got a branch front suit - with great view of the beach. Nice pool. Improvement opportunities - almost all employees are very friendly and nice - except of the people at reception, who are border line rude. Beach chairs are all "reserved by" residents early in the morning - by just putting dirty linen/towels on it. Saw an old women reserve 4 chairs on the beach and another 4 on pool side. This is more talks about the kind of crowd this resort attracts. Free shuttles available for connecting to restaurants and other resorts of the same chain. They make you switch you room on Saturday night - it is a "Royal" pain at "Royal resorts". Having to pack everything and shift your room can spoil your nice vacation - especially if it is on a day where you intend to go for an all day tour to one of the tourist destinations around the city. You end up taking care of this at 11:45 PM in the night with 2 sleepy kids - as was in my case.
