Great patio for a beachfront property

                    4 of 5
Beachside Bungalow's best feature is its patio. There were tons of seating opportunities, fire pit, two tables, umbrellas, etc. The beach was steps away and most of the time uncrowded despite being in the middle of the summer. The garage was well-stocked with toys. The drawbacks were that the kitchen was tiny and the bathroom/bedroom layout wasn't ideal. One bathroom was accessed through the kitchen but it served the bedroom that was two rooms away. The shower in that bathroom was a tiny stall shower, impossible to shave your legs in. Also, when we booked the property it listed a loft sleeping area but when when we came PR told us the owners said they didn't want anyone sleeping in the loft. That posed a problem for us. I thought it wasn't an honest move. The guest book has a list of rules that were worded in a somewhat threatening way. Many of the items said that if you violated a rule you would lose your full deposit. I guess that harsh wording is appropriate for those who don't take pride in ownership of their own homes but we do and I was on edge the entire time hoping not to break a rule. A safety issue was the height of the fan in the second bedroom. My husband is 6'3" and almost hit his head on it. Also, the cord to adjust the speed is super short so one has to completely shut down the fan to adjust the speed. We all hit our heads on the staircase leading up to the loft in the master bedroom. It is white just like the walls and easy to hit. Overall, we thought this was a great property for a small family that didn't mind the bathroom situation and the tiny kitchen.
