Fabulous location, Quaint cottage, Charming hosts!

5 of 5
What a lovely experience we had in what we called our "little, hidden sanctuary." The location is ideal for a visit to the city. It is right next to the Presidio and near top rated restaurants and shopping in the Marina District. We were able to walk to many of our destinations, but public transportation is just steps away, so we invested in a 3 day Muni passport and traveled all over the city with relative ease. The cottage itself is welcoming and comfortable. We did not spend much time there because we were out adventuring, but it was so nice to come back to the eclectic decor and extensive library of the comfy home. The back garden is an enchanting place that my daughter describes as "a quiet little paradise." I was initially concerned that the bed might be too firm because I like softer mattresses, but my husband and I both agreed that we slept better than we had in ages and woke up refreshed each morning ready for a cup of French press coffee. I also considered it an added bonus that we were staying in an historic building that was part of the Presidio's history. Alev and Robert were amazing hosts. They immediately made us feel welcome and provided us with ample information and helpful recommendations. It was nice to know that they were just a phone call away if we needed anything. My only regret is that we didn't have more time just to visit with this delightful couple.

Lovely Cottage - Perfect for our Needs! We absolutely loved our visit!

5 of 5
My husband & I took our first trip to San Francisco last Fall (2015) to visit our son and do some sightseeing. We found this gem on VRBO, read the fantastic reviews and thought it sounded perfect for us. Daryl was great to work with and the personal amenities that were provided were above & beyond our expectations! Daryl & her husband have created this gem of a cottage in a beautiful neighborhood behind their home. They thought of all the details to make us feel so welcome and at home, from the fresh flowers in every room to the Starbucks coffee (which really sold us), fresh fruit, jam, muffins, cookies, cream, juice, cereal, milk, etc.! Since we didn't rent a car, we Uber'd for our first time and that worked out quite well. We felt like Uber experts by the end of our trip! We didn't cook during our 10 night stay, but certainly could have in the beautiful, stocked kitchen with state of the art appliances. We especially loved the private patio behind our cottage, which was perfect for unwinding with a glass (or 2) of wine after a fun-filled day of touring the city and taking wonderful excursions to Sonoma, Muir Woods, Alcatraz, or North Beach Food Tour! My son's job had recently required him to move to LA, but his company allowed him to work remotely & Daryl graciously accommodated him to stay with us in the 2-bedroom cottage for part of that time for a reasonable fee. This was a dream vacation for us, and I didn't want to leave! We feel so blessed to have stumbled on this wonderful place & would definitely stay again when we return!!! My husband, son, & I really appreciated Daryl and her husband's hospitality and cannot wait to plan another trip! I would wholeheartedly recommend this luxury cottage if you are planning a trip to this beautiful city of San Francisco! Thank you, thank you Daryl & Mark for all you did!!!
