I would give 4 stars only because of the fire place, covered parking, and location. Overall, this is a dated condo, don't let the pictures fool you too much. Traveled with elder parents and 2 young children. Cons (in no order): -Had an ironing board, but no iron *smh -Snow shovel was broken in 3 pieces on arrival, we ended up buying one. Left it there, hopefully next renters can use it, you're welcome. -No Hair dryer (usually pretty standard in rentals) -Had a DVD player, but no cords to hook up to TV (why even have it in the condo then?) -No TVs in bedrooms except 13" tube TV from 1975 we found in the closet. Elder parents enjoy relaxing in bedroom after day at the resort, so at least they had that. -Very little hot water for 2 days on the trip, considering the condo sleeps 8. We called the maintenance group, Cabin Works, and they set someone on it right away. Respect to them, they did the best they could to get it going, great people. Should be good to go from here. -Microwave downstairs didn't work, said 'ERROR' when trying to use it, very dated appliance -No central lighting in bedrooms, light switches to nowhere. Some of the lamps in the bedrooms weren't hooked up or otherwise didn't work -Between the toilet downstairs was being worked on upon arrival, and of course the hot water heater repair, this condo could definitely use some professional carpet cleaning, looked like it hadn't been done in a while, if at all. -Heat lamp in bathrooms could probably be replaced, barely worked Pros: -Location: Walking distance to Deno's (great restaurant), shops, and bars. Winter Park Lift (shuttle) picks up right across the street every 10-15 minutes or so and drops you off at the resort within 15 minutes. Download the RideHop app for schedule. There is also shuttle lines that will take you up the main strip, but we rented a car. If you rent a car, look for the parking lot at the resort next to the gondola and tubing, cheapest parking we found (I think there may be a free one, but quite the hike). The gondola is fun and will drop you off at the village. SafeWay grocery up in Fraser, 10 min drive. -Restaurants we enjoyed: Randi's Irish Pub, Hernando's pizza (great pizza, we just picked up and brought back), and Idle Wild bar (great bartenders, great apps, Potato Skins were amazing). Derailer bar at the resort -Condo heated nicely once turned on. Overall, Winter Park is amazing, would go again. Would stay here again with details ironed out (no pun, lol).
