            Awesome vacation property!

            5 of 5
A few of my buddies wanted to find a place to hang out for a weekend - grill, relax, etc. This place was perfect! An easy drive from RSW airport, the house was huge and comfortably fit the eight of us without a problem. The pool/outdoor area was where we spent 90% of our time and cooking on the grill and in the huge gourmet kitchen stocked with gadgets was a treat. The house was spotless, had plenty of bathrooms, comfortable beds, speakers, activities/pool table. Go food shopping on your way and you'll never have to leave. We're already planning a trip back later this year! A few "lessons learned" from our visit to note. Nothing bad, just good for those planning: 1. The check-in process was a little weird. We arrived at the house at 4 PM and had to pretty much figure out how everything worked in the house on our own. The next morning, we had to be up between 8 and 9 so someone could "check us in". He was very nice but coming by a day later to tell us how to use the AC, turn on the pool heater, etc. felt like a waste of his time. They have a very strict 10am check-out time. I know they have to prep for the next guests, but we had to figure out where to go for the entire Sunday since we had to be out so early. Plan ahead or book an extra day to be safe. 2. Gas is not included - they're very up front with this, but the pool is gas heated so it's easy to rack up a bill if you're not careful with using this. 3. Though the house "sleeps 10", this math accounts for 2 people in each bed. For 8 guys, this didn't work out as easily. We ended up using the couches and doubling up in some cases. I was surprised because there was plenty of space in the house (such as in the game room or TV room) where either a pullout couch or futon could've been added. We made it work but if you're planning to have 6 or more people, it can get a little crowded in terms of sleeping arrangements. 4. The area is pretty quiet. We rented a car and there's a small town area nearby with a coffee shop, some restaurants and bars but we found it difficult to get Uber/Lyft in a reasonable time and there's not much walking-distance to do. 5. This is definitely a quiet residential community. We were by no means a rowdy group but we got yelled at by the neighbor for "laughing and talking loudly" at 10:05 PM on a Saturday night. With houses stacked up on either side, even just hanging out on the lanai/in the pool after a certain time could get you in trouble.
