Great place and just as advertized

5 of 5
We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Villa and in the Sarasota area. The house has no disappointments, and is a very quiet residential area. The house is spacious with a large comfortable king master bedroom and spacious bath with glassed in shower. Kitchen is fully furnished with appliances, cookware and storage containers. It also had a good supply of cooking staples which is rare and very welcome in a short-term rental. Big Publix is in walking distance. Ten minutes to Siesta Key by car. Many, many restaurants in the area. Ven was very responsive when we had minor repairs needed early in our stay, and texted to make sure all was going well. Great host!

Precious Gem in Sarasota

5 of 5
My Texas family of 5 stayed in Connie and Jeff's Treehouse in the Landings, Sarasota, from mid-July to mid-August 2017. We can recommend the accommodations without reservation as well as the positive experience we had dealing with the owners. First, what a gem is this community of the Landings. Gated, quiet, peaceful and lush in vegetation...from the first drive in we commented that it looked and felt like Costa Rica (where we have vacationed a few times) in the amount of beautiful trees and flowers, yet with an element of wildness that is often scrubbed out in our manicured-lawn society. Upon discovering our Treehouse, we were pleasantly surprised at how almost hidden and recessed it was in the "woods" and yet within a short drive to all the beaches and restaurants we could ever want. The condo itself is quite spacious with a family-friendly layout. Three bedrooms upstairs with a master closet large enough for us to put a toddler pack-n-play inside for our 2-year old's little "room." We loved that the television was downstairs in the family den where the kids could watch a movie while we cooked in the kitchen without fear that they might wander outdoors. The washer/dryer was vital! We had everything we needed in the kitchen and loved stepping out with morning coffee to the netted patio right outside. My husband worked out nearly every day in the community gym just a short couple minute drive from the condo. There we all enjoyed the gym, the community pool and hot tub, as well as ping pong table. Our bookworm 12-year old spent hours in the community library, reading books and talking with the friendly regulars there. I always felt safe and that my children were safe which is key for a mom. There is a second pool right next to the Treehouse which we went to nearly every day. Many times we were the only folks there. We met just enough people to have some good conversations and give the kids some friends for the day to play with, but for the most part we soaked up the solitude. As for the beaches nearby to the condo, we spent many days at Siesta Key Beach which is the closest. It has a fantastic playground and plenty of space on the wide beaches with some of the softest whitest sand we had ever encountered. We also went regularly to Lido Beach which is a longer drive at about 15 min away, but we loved the easy in/out parking on the street and the stunning sunsets. Working with Connie and Jeff was a joy and this vacation was perfect.
